Steampunk Lady Done!!!!!!

Hello Everybody!

As I was saying in my last post, I have been working on this Steampunk Lady.  It was a Santos that I purchased from Tuesday Morning on clearance!  You may have seen it in one of my videos or blog posts...I can't recall.  Well, it all started with a little top hat that I made, painted black and embellished.  From there it went to taking off all the embellishements and adding Tim Holtz tissue tape to the hat and then covering the tissue tape with Claudine Hellmuth's Studio Multi-Medium Matte.

Next, I placed the embellishments back on and looked over at the santos and thought...Wonder if that will fit her head.  It did and a Steampunked Lady was born!  LOL!

Here she is in all her Idea-ology and vintage key glory!!  Thanks Barb Engleking for the awesome vintage keys and Fiona Jennings for the lbeautiful little FOB watch she's holding!

Well, off to finish up Tueday Night's Tutorial for Ustream, mow, weed-eat and plant some bedding plants before nightfall!!....Have An Amazing Day!

Canvas ala Fiona!

Good Saturday Morning To You All!

Well, it's a slowwwwww start this morning!  I love the weekends so I can stay up late and craft longer!  Well, I did!  I worked on a canvas that Fiona (Jennings644 on Youtube) did on her Ustream class yesterday! Of course hers is better and frankly easier to look at!  I grabbed my Dylusions sprays and inked mine up pretty good! Bahahahaha!  I also got around to work on the Steampunk woman statue thing that I've mentioned before...which I'm still working on and will have done today!  One of those projects that I can't seem to stop playing with! She's going to be cool!

But for this morning....I wanted to share my first dimensional canvas.....It's pretty much a hot mess but at least I learned a few things for next time....

I might have to re-gesso it and start again on this canvas....but it was fun to do!

Y'all have a great Saturday!

The Hinged Card...Unhinged!

Good Morning Everybody!

Friday has arrived!!!!  Yahoooo!  Happy Good Friday to you all....

In yesterday's post, I wrote that I would do a video on how to make the hinged card and i have included it below.  It's such a fun card to make and I hope you give it a shot.

There are so many ways you can embellish the card...so,  I let it the paper set the tone...

Here are a couple of shots of the card I worked on during the video.  I used some embellishments that my friend Fiona sent me to spruce up the outside.  Take a look...

And now for the video on how I made it....

That's it for now!  Hope you all have an amazing Friday!  Make it an Awesome day!

Ustream Card!

Good Evening Everybody!

Just about to hit the hay, but I wanted to share with you the finished card we worked on last night in my Ustream show...  It's my favorite card to make....By the way, I so appreciate you all coming by.  It was so much fun!  Thank you for being there!  I really had a blast and hope you did too!

We never finished the card.  Probably due to my long winded stories and showing you my war wounds!  Bahahahaha!  Oh yeah, having to start the recording 5 times and changing the camera didn't help!  LOL!

So tonight, I wanted to show you the finished card...Oh yeah, let me add this  first....I started a YouTube video of how to make the card tonight from start to finish.  I will post that tomorrow.  The YouTube card I taped tonight is a whole different look using the Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 Paper Collection.  Funny how a different paper using the same technique can have a whole different look and meaning!

Anyway, here is the Ustream card from last night....

Thanks For Coming By To Visit!  I have a big day in the morning and promised myself I would get to bed early....

Have an Awesome Night...See ya tomorrow!

Dylusional - Holtzian Tag.....

Hello Everybody!

It's been quiet on the home front lately and I've been playing in the studio....It's just what I do...LOL!  First, it started with a little top hat that I made.  I painted it black then steampunked it up.... Not happy with the results, I pulled everything off and covered the hat with Tim Holtz tissue tape.  Ahhhh, now it's better...LOL   Once again, it's just what I do....LOL!  The cool thing that happened, the top hat gave me the idea to alter a primitive looking statue.  The hat fit perfectly on her head...So, I'm off to transforming her from a primitive looking "statue thing" to a lady of steampunk something or other!  LOL!  I will share her with you when she is done...

In between reworking the top hat, I pulled out a tag...It's just what I do...LOL!  I sprayed the tag with some Dylusions Spray Inks in Bubblegum Pink, Squeezed Orange, Pure Sunshine and a dash of Cherry Pie.  I then added the numerals from Tim Holtz new Stampers Anonymous Numeric stamp set, added a bit of the new Dylusions Ocean Backgrounds stamp around the edges, bradded on some Tim Holtz-Idea-olgy Numerals...Not being quite done, I stamped the domed plate from Dylusions Monster Mash stamp set onto Acetate and Ranger's Inkssentials Manila card and cut each out to match the original stamped image.  I placed a tissue taped #5 under the dome then headed to my box of goodies and pulled out a key, another mini numeral and the "Know" Idea-ology Word Sticks and attached it to some Dylusional stained Crinkle Ribbon....Last but not least added some Idea-ology Label Letters spelling out..."Know Your No." to some aluminium tags.

So, here's what it ended up looking like.  Hope you like it!  I call it...

"KNOW YOUR NUMBER TAG"
