Alive and Well!

Hello All!

I cannot believe  that I finally got all my shopping done in a single afternoon!  My American Express magnetic strip is burned off!  I'm surprised that that card just didn't completely blow up tonight!  :)  I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have all my shopping done!  Do y'all remember sometime back in October ...maybe...that I said I was going to have Christmas this year all organized and get it all done early!  Really!  Forget that Folks! Bahahahaha!  The house remains undone, no Christmas cards written, etc...  but I like I said above, the Christmas presents have finally been purchased!  Wonder if anyone would mind if they weren't wrapped?  LOL!  Wasn't that the way Santa intended it to be?

Working on samples and working at work (LOL)  have consumed every spare moment and breath I have!  Don't get me wrong...I am having a blast!  Truly a blast creating and when not creating... thinking!  Thank God I have an hour commute to work coming and going.  In those two hours I can basically figure out what my next step is!

My finger tips are numb, layered in ink, glue and scor- tape all over my body (Honestly!) so, I decided to quit for the night and get to bed early! Time to rest! Tomorrow is another day!

Sure do miss all of you and hope that your Holidays are going well!  I just wanted to say...I'm Alive and Well!

Hugs to you all!

  4. Do not feel alone, my man. I have a hunch that most of us are in the same boat, or would that be sleigh. Only a man would get his shopping all done in a sngle afternoon. Lol. Congratulations. Just pop a bow on and call it good. With CHA so early next month, it has to be your priority. I've learned to accept all the craziness as part of the holidays and finally don't freak out about it anymore. We're lucky to have lives that provide so much excitement.I'm glad you're having a blast, my friend and tickled that you took a few minutes to stay in touch. Keep enjoying!
    Hugs

  12. Merry Christmas Jim! Remember to breathe. :o) No matter how much we sweat the details of Christmas preps, it comes along any way, and it is always wonderful. It doesn't matter how much or little we decorate. I think I finally realized that earlier this week after some kind words from a friend when I was saying this is the most unprepared for Christmas I have ever been. So I have let some things go. Not much decorating. We got our live tree up and decorated 2 weeks ago so that helped, but for the rest of the house, I used live poinsettias and just a few decorations. This is the first year my mantel will not be decorated. I've been too busy making samples too for CHA and got the flu for a few days didn't help my time crunch either. I love creating, but the time crunch not so much. Ha... I had a marathon day of shopping yesterday and I said the same as you... surprised my card didn't melt. LOL I almost swear I saw some smoke! Your plans will all come together... wait and see. :o) Have a Merry Christmas!!

  17. Hi Jim! Glad you are alive and well - I am too - well alive anyway! Just stressed out by total lack of time so I know exactly where you're coming from! I haven't even had chance to start making my Christmas cards yet and they should have been in the post by now! I am hoping to catch up on all your posts here, from the last month or so, after Christmas. Looking forward to seeing your CHA creations. Take care my friend.

  18. So Glad That I'm not the Only One running around like a crazy person! I was so sure I was going to done and ready for Christmas this year, that I started making my Christmas cards back in July. How many did I get done? A Big Fat 4. Oh well... at least that's 4 cards ready for next year! Now that my gifts are finished and wrapped and in a box ready to ship today, I take a big deep breath and I'm now pealing the glue off my fingers and arms, and how do glue get all over the dog? Yes, Next year I am so going to be ready and done early... I can't wait to see what you have been creating.... you'll see, all your hard work will be SO worth it when you step back and gander.....

  20. Well Jim, I do not think you are alone. My house is decorated and the gifts are wrapped. But let me tell you....I cheated this year and used gift bags and tissue paper. It's so easy and they look just as beautiful and above all else............it saves a bunch of time!

Have a Merry Christmas Jim and a Beautiful and Prosperous New Year.

  22. So glad you are done with your shopping. I , too, did most of mine in an all day shopping spree (but most of hubby's gifts were done online!!) I took off this week from work, as NOTHING was done and I was so far behind due to Sandy and the extra 3 hrs a day commute to my already 1.5 each way..it was so good not to have to go anywhere, and now hubby in my stamp room putting up shelves..Yippee! Have a blessed holiday!

  25. Alive and well, eh... glad to hear it! It'll all come together somehow; at least mine does. The worrying just takes all the fun out of things. My house is decorated... cookie making is half done... still have to make about 10 cards or tags to send out... and about half the gifts have been purchased (some as long ago as June!). Maybe that hearty Ho! Ho! Ho! of Santa's is really him laughing at our attempts to put the holiday together without having a stroke!!!

  26. I'm having this "vision" of our good friend Jim all covered in score tape....driving, working, working, eating through a slit in the score tape, sleeping in score tape and having trouble turning over......oh my such a sight! Have a wonderful Christmas Jim!!
