Fairy Doors and Putz Houses

Good Morning Everyone!

The Holidays...It's been a fun week getting the house ready for this festive time of year!  The Christmas tree is up and the fairy lights adorn the outside.  This is my favorite season..I love the sparkle, glitter and magic of it all!  It's also the time of year when I truly love to make things...It's been like  Santa's workshop in my studio...I've created two new fairy doors and added to the Putz House collection.

In continuing the tradition of creating the Putz Houses, I am bringing back the original house made in 2015.  I'm also bringing back the three 2016 houses and so far adding a couple more this year.  If you are unfamiliar with putz houses, Google "Putz House" to learn about their history and then for inspiration Google the hundreds of images of these magical glittery houses.

My Putz are small houses (around 4 x 6-inches) cut from heavy chipboard.  They are easy to assemble with a little glue.  Once assembled, paint or cover with patterned paper...add snow, trees and glitter.

Here is the original 2015 House done up in Christmas Cheer...

You can find this in my shop here:

November Village Collection Piece: The Windmill House

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Wow it's such a pretty day in Texas!  It's like spring...A cool breeze and no humidity...It's amazing!  I find myself on the front porch writing this post and dreaming of Holland...Holland is on my bucket list to see.  It would be so amazing to visit the gardens full of tulips and the iconic windmills.  Since I cannot transport myself there, I decided to create one in chipboard and paper.

This month's Village Collection Project is nothing other than...

 The Windmill House

Thank you so much for coming by to take a gander...If I don't get a chance to say this again, I hope you have a Wonderful, Safe and Happy Thanksgiving with friends and family.
