Valentine's Inspiration: Gated Heart Card .SVG File

Good Afternoon Friends!

I'm busy making Valentine's cards and thought I would share the file I am using to make them.  Hope you can find some inspiration from it...I'm not a fussy person and like clean lines, but you can dude up this card with flowers and ribbons, etc to your heart's content.  Please feel free to download the .svg file and cut out on your digital cutter...

The Gated Heart Card...

I cut the card to 5 x 7 out of thin chipboard and doubled up on the front heart.  Simply cut a 1 x 7 strip of cardstock, score down the middle at 1/2-inch and apply Scor-tape or similar to each side of the score line...Again, cut another 1-1/4-inch strip just as in steps above.  Apply the longer 7-inch strip to the left edge of the card pieces and the 1-1/4 strip to the right edges of the card at the gate.  Burnish sides of strip so that card sits flat.  The card is constructed.  Now, add your love to it...

Here is the downloadable .SVG file for the Heart Card:

The kit comes with a tutorial and will be mailed to you when kit ships.  Please note shipping time will be mid-week next week as the material should arrive this weekend.

Things that move make me so happy!  This project is great to give someone you love for their desk or to sit about on the coffee table...It is SOOOOO easy to make...It is cut from wood and just requires the glue (included) and your favorite paint.  Pull the rings on the front and back and the couple kisses each other!  A great present for the love of your life!

Creativation Booth- Ranger Designer Challenge Projects- Revealed!

Good Evening!

As the show (Creativation) opened today in Arizona, I totally forgot to show you the projects I created...It's been a busy day working on family things that needed to be done.  We...Mom, Cesar and I drove to Brownwood, Texas to see my sister, bro-in-law and nieces and had the most amazing lunch... that... at 8:30 in the evening I am still full from...Ugg!  As I said earlier, I totally forgot to share this year's projects...Better late than never...Well, here goes...

For Graphic 45 I was sent the paper for two new collections...One, Little Women and the other Sun Kissed...This is what I came up with...

Little Women...A movie I watched many times growing up and even as an adult watch time after time... I even  had the opportunity to see Louisa May Alcott's home in Concord, Mass...So, I loved working with this collection and it brought back so many amazing memories...Here's...

Beth's Piano

And then there was Graphic 45's Sun Kissed!  I love the beach and it was right up my alley!  Here's what I came up with....BTW, I had so much fun making the cart!  It was a blast!

Sun Kissed Lemonade and Ice Cream Cart

I had some paper left over to make another project, so I went with a Sun Kissed Day at the beach Inspired Clock...

Seahorse and Sand Dollar Clock

Loving these new collections from Graphic 45!  Thanks to the G45 Team for allowing me to make a few projects for their booth!  Hope you like them!

Ranger Designer Challenge 2018

Now...I was honored to be asked to do the Ranger Designer Challenge this year again!  This year they were honoring Dyan Reaveley of Dylusions Fame!  The challenge...Take a small plain paper mache Top Hat... and then I was given the warm colors of the Dylusion paints...Orange, Brown, Black and Cream... add in somewhere the new stencils, the animal ut outs (sorry, I can't remember the name she gave them...but oh so cute!...The new gelli plate, washi tapes and shimmer spray...BUT...make it yours...Well, this is what I came up with...

The Animal Hangout Top Hat!

Well, That's what I got!  Hope you like them...I know I had a blast creating them! BTW, I have had an amazing time in my studio coming up with the MOST amazing projects for classes and kits this year!  It's been the first time in a long, long time that I have had the time to just sit and design...My kitchen bar is honestly just loaded with things I cannot wait to share with you!  Here's to 2018!  Yahoooo!

New Valentine's Day Projects and Fairy Doors!

Good Saturday Evening to You!

Well, with the holidays over, it's time to concentrate on this wonderful New Year!  2018!  Can you believe it?  I've received new credit cards with an expiry year of 2023! Good Gravy Gertrude...Time really does fly and so does the hair on my head!  I don't want to talk about it!

I thought I would start this year with some cool Valentine's projects.  Or, at least I think they are cool...I hope you will think so too!  It's time to get started on creating these goodies for the ones we love next month...Here's what I came up with....

The Sweet Sedan

I love this 1930's inspired sedan.  The Sweet Sedan has lots of fun details...There are multiple options for the sedan...The days of Cigar and Shoe Boxes might be over to collect your Valentines...Now you can just place your lovely traditional sized Valentines cards into the sedan to show off how much you are loved.  For a larger interior container pull out the middle seat section for a great option to a gift basket by adding a miniature rose or candies into it.  There is a lidded closure at the back of the car (Rumble Seat) for any special surprises you may want to hide.  The only thing you need is some metallic paint to finish off the chipboard trim pieces and some matte glue.

Key To My Heart Carriage

The Key To My Heart Carriage is cut from wood and is soooo easy to assemble.  You simply add your own white glue to the pegs and insert the pegs into the slots.  Cover with the carriage with the precut paper and add a little paint to the tires and Voila!  You got it!  Please note:  I added a picture of my Mom to the interior, you can decorate or embellish the interior of the carriage as you like.

The kit comes two ways...WITH Paper Click Here!
