New Project: The Old Woman Who Lived In a Shoe Kit

Good Friday Afternoon Everyone!

Today, I wanted to share a new project that was inspired from a nursery rhyme.  I love houses and architecture I also love to think back on how stories made me feel as a child.  It's fun to go back and look at old story books and see the amazing illustrations.  That to me was what it was all about...The pictures...always fascinated by them.  So my inspiration combined the picture in my mind and the shoe...or the house of The Old Woman In Who Lived in a Shoe....

March Projects: The Vintage Lemonade Stand and The Bird Houseboat

Good Morning Everyone!

I keep talking about how gorgeous it is here in Texas...Everything is in bloom and it's such a pleasure to walk around my yard each day to see what has grown.  Butterflies fluttering around, sunshine, Spring rains, blooms and so many beautiful birds building nests...That's exactly where my inspiration came from this month...

The Vintage Lemonade Stand was a project sample I did for Graphic 45's Creativation booth in cold January dreaming about the sunny days ahead.  I love this sweet Sun Kissed stand selling tangy refreshments by the sea...

The Bird Houseboat

This project is a favorite of mine...A fun whimsical addition to your Spring decor...The Bird Houseboat is covered in Authentique's Refreshed Paper Collection.  The boat has an umbrella over the top and a propeller to keep her sailing along.  Slipped inside the boat is a simple tag mini to place your pictures, ephemera, embellishments and memories.

Valentine's Inspiration: Gated Heart Card .SVG File

Good Afternoon Friends!

I'm busy making Valentine's cards and thought I would share the file I am using to make them.  Hope you can find some inspiration from it...I'm not a fussy person and like clean lines, but you can dude up this card with flowers and ribbons, etc to your heart's content.  Please feel free to download the .svg file and cut out on your digital cutter...

The Gated Heart Card...

I cut the card to 5 x 7 out of thin chipboard and doubled up on the front heart.  Simply cut a 1 x 7 strip of cardstock, score down the middle at 1/2-inch and apply Scor-tape or similar to each side of the score line...Again, cut another 1-1/4-inch strip just as in steps above.  Apply the longer 7-inch strip to the left edge of the card pieces and the 1-1/4 strip to the right edges of the card at the gate.  Burnish sides of strip so that card sits flat.  The card is constructed.  Now, add your love to it...

Here is the downloadable .SVG file for the Heart Card:

The Vintage Kissing Booth!

Good Evening Everyone!

I wanted to share a new Valentine's Day themed project I call The Vintage Kissing Booth...

Cut from wood, the kissing booth is totally easy to make and can be either painted or covered with paper to your liking...

Dimensions: 5-7/8 x 7-3/8-inches

The kit comes with a tutorial and will be mailed to you when kit ships.  Please note shipping time will be mid-week next week as the material should arrive this weekend.

I love to make old fashioned toys! Things that move make me so happy!  This project is great to give someone you love for their desk or to sit about on the coffee table...It is SOOOOO easy to make...It is cut from wood and just requires the glue (included) and your favorite paint.  Pull the rings on the front and back and the couple kisses each other!  A great present for the love of your life!

Please Also Note:  The ball feet were added just for fun.  They are not included in the kit, but easily found in the wood section of your local craft store.
