Christmas On The Farm!

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Well, you asked for it....You Got It!  A little tour of Christmas on the farm for 2013!  I thought I would take a moment of your time and show you a few of my favorite Christmas things here on the farm....

Tonight, Cesar and I put a little video together of highlights of Christmas.  I usually have all the house decked out for Christmas, but the last few years I've not had the time to do it.  Which, honestly, takes less time to take down and I'm out the door to CHA...Makes sense to me...I do miss some of my collections, but one day, one day....

Please grab a "short" cup of coffee and watch the little video we put together....

Happy Holidays Everyone....Thank you so much for everything!

  3. Love the tour as it brought back so many memories. Since my husband passed away and my son got married and lives 3 hours away I don't decorate for the Holidays. But looking at your 1st tree shown I seen some of the ornaments I have, well my son has now. Love the blown glass ornaments and for a few years I had the actual blown stretched glass ornaments. Now a question. Do you get a new ornament a year or Santa? Did you get any when you were in Italy? They have some beautiful ornaments. If you ever go to Holland you need to pick up a Sinterclaus. :) Hope you and Cesar have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year

  4. Jim and Cesar, thanks so much for the tour of your decorated home. Where do I start? Your tree with the glass ornaments is AMAZING, I just love how you placed the ornaments inside and not just on the outer areas of the tree, it has so much debth, wow!! My main tree is about that size and I collect Lenox ornaments, so that is the only ornaments I will put on that one.
Your kitchen tree, so cute. I love how you added the silverware, clever!
The tree in your bedroom, such a labor of love, you should be proud. Nothing better than a homemade Christmas!
Love all your adorable Santa's, very festive. Great job on everything.
I hope you and Cesar enjoy your holiday and I know you will remember the reason for the season. Thanks for all that you do for us, God bless. Shari (cricutrookie)

Thank you Jim for the tour and thank you Cesar for being Mr. Camera for the tour. Loved the tour!!!

  10. Like you I love Xmas...my favorite time of year....I put up 4 full size trees every year: family room, rec room, front entrance, and bedroom alcove....never thought of kitchen, might just have to add another one...I also put up a huge ceramic lighted house display in my rec room which has 4 levels from seaside to mountaintop and measures 12x8 ft. takes me about 3 weeks to set up.....now that the babes are bigger they are learning not to touch!...lol...all the best of the season for a safe and happy Christmas and New Year!

  20. Jim, thanks so much for sharing your trees and decorations with us. They are all so awesome. I love eclectic trees as well and the wonderful vintage feel. It is what makes me happy as well, this time of year. I must say, as much as everyone looks forward to CHA, they have made it so inconvenient beings that it is happening so early and so soon after the biggest holiday.
Just in case I don't get a chance before Christmas, I would like to extend the warmest wishes to you and Cesar and your entire family. Hope you all have a Magical Christmas and a Very Happy New Year!!!!!
    Big Hugs,
    Marcie Smith

  21. Well, that is fun. It is wonderful to see your collections and hear what you have to say about the precious Christmas ornaments you have collected over time. "It makes me happy" is perhaps one of the nicest sentiments a person can utter. We all need "happy" and it looks like there is genuine happy in your house. Merry Christmas and and healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year to you and yours.

  22. Hi Jim,
Seeing you with shorts on is hard to believe, as here, in Central VT, the temps have been below zero for the past couple of days. With it hitting about 10 below last night/early morning without a wind chill factored in.
I truly enjoyed the Holiday decorating you did. I appreciate how you take care of your ornaments. My ornaments are individually wrapped also. Hopefully, one day, my two adult daughters will care for them as I have.
The vintage "touch" you did with current/modern materials is something I have strived to do in recent years....albeit only in my head. MANY life changes have prevented me from producing them. I am now on a different path and will have these things made for next year. I have all the materials and my studio is almost organized to get creative again.
Happy Holidays to you and Cesar. Hope to meet you some day.
    Pat

  25. What a lovely home and beautiful decorations you have up! I am ill and alone, so I won't be doing anything for Christmas this year, and it was nice to see yours and get a little dose of the Christmas spirit. Thanks so much to you and Cesar for sharing your space with us and for all your posts, videos, etc. . . throughout the year.

May you have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful and healthy New Year

  26. AMAZING!!! I don't know how you do all you do. We took a late trip this year and it thru me all off my schedule. The outside is done and the tree is up, but not an ornament on it. Didn't get my village up either. It takes me a good 2 weeks to do everything I have. I change out all my curtains, bedspreads, dishes, glassware & flatware. I have a nutcracker collection, Father Christmas collection and a Caroler collection. None of them are out this year. BooHoo

Hope you and Cesar have a Wonderful Christmas. Can't wait to see what you are doing for CHA!!! Happy Holidays!!!

  27. OMGosh! Now that's a lot of ornaments! And Santa's too! And my partner thinks I've got a lot of Christmas deco's! I love the kitchen tree. cute idea. We aren't decorating at all this year. Don's had Cancer surgery and our room mate is having some health issues too. And since I can't lift more than a gallon of milk or there about... well you get the drift. But I have a little ceramic tree with Lighthouses on it. That's what we've got up in the living room. But I do love that little tree. My mother gave it to me several yrs ago. I know you'll both really enjoy your home. Big hugs and Merry Christmas! Jess
