Sizzix Project Tomorrow...

Good Evening Everybody!

This is truly one of those nights where I have six things on the burner and I'm bound and determined to get to them all!  By Gosh!  I CAN DO IT!

Anyway, a quick story before I get to the juice of today's blog post....I've been meaning to share this but forget every stinkin' time!  So while it's hot on my mind, thought I better give it a go.....

I was in Michaels the other day...well let's see, when did I make that Tag Box?  Whenever that was....a Tuesday I think.  I wanted another set of THE ALMIGHTY TIM HOLTZ FOUNDATIONS FEET for my class ....just in case!!  By the grace of God they had one set left!  Yahoo right?  When I went to grab these jewels of happiness and rarity...they were clamped down to the peg they were on with a red jobbie that locks them up so no one can get to them without someone to help you!  REALLY! I thought to myself....I couldn't find anyone and finally went back to the frame shop to ask for assistance.  I was desperate folks! Beads of sweat were pouring off my brow in anticipation!  I walked back over to Tim's Aisle, as I fondly refer to it and the lady met me and unlocked them...I asked her why they were locked...GET THIS....YOU READY....It's one of the #1 things stolen in Tim's line!!!!!  FOR GOODNESS SAKES FOLKS!  I don't know whether I think this is funny or sad!

OK...I would be grateful if you would all join me tomorrow on the Sizzix Blog for a cool Easter Project I've created.  There will be a link to a downloadable .pdf file and finished pictures of the project.  So, please come over to Sizzix tomorrow and grab a copy....

Just for fun here is a sneak peek....

I know...wonder what it will be?  LOL!

See you tomorrow on Sizzix!

Have an AWESOME FRIDAY!

  2. All of Tim's items are locked down like that here at our store. I think it's very sad indeed, but even moreso frustrating because, like you experienced, you have to chase down an employee to get them to unlock the dang things!

  5. I have to laugh at your FF story! Half the time at the Gtown M's the little red thingies aren't locked or there is an item that's in front the lock...of the same locked items.

Will check in at Sizzix in the morning...looking forward to seeing your completed project!

  6. Oh my goodness Jim, is that e only Tm item your Michaels had locked? Our Michaels out here has almost all of the Tim line locked up. It's insane, I can spend 20 minutes just getting someone to help me get my Tim goodness!!! Can't wait to see what you have created.

  8. I always wondered about why certain stuff was 'locked'. Can you imagine being in jail for stealing Tim Holtz Foundation feet.!!?? You are in jail with a bank robber and drug dealer and are asked..... why are you in for? LOL

  9. The feet again? I just bought some more on clearance at my local craft store. I have yet to use any of them.....for fear I will never get them again (see what you do to us!) You are such a tease...can't wait to see what the project is. I do know this, I already own that square die along with the accordion card that goes with it. It was a weak moment. So I can't wait, but I guess I have to.

  11. It is sad but where I am in Gilbert Az they have about 15 items of Tim's locked up like that. We have a bunch of crazy people here! I had to work tonight so missed the project :0(

  12. I was at M's last weekend and I noticed the same thing, only there was one set of foundation feet hanging at the end in front of the red stoppy knob, so I didn't have to ask for help. Maybe someone decided not to steal them and hung them back! Crazy, are they being sold on the black market? Is there a crafting black market? A man in a trenchcoat whispers at a desperate crafter let me show you my....like the guys selling watches in the big city..Haha

  15. Great project posted at the Sizzix blog. Your tutorial is super.

Where is the best place to buy the medium chip board? Three places I googled are 'out of stock', really how can this be?

    Happy thoughts,
