What a Day!

Hello Everybody!

Here I am sitting on the front porch in sheer bliss that I can finally sit down.  There is a beautiful cool breeze and the smell of Jasmine makes me feel like I'm in my favorite place....Hilton Head....What a wonderful feeling!

I've had a wonderful day...First up was cutting the chipboard for my Make and Take at the Crafty Scrapper next weekend...DONE!  Yahoooo!

Next up was to clean the house and my studio!...Done!

Then it was onto making a sample of my Quote Wallet for Chico Scrapbooks in Chico California!  DONE!!!  Yahoooo!

By The Way...LOVE LOVE LOVE Tim Holtz French Industrial Paper Stash!  Yep!  I DO!

Then it was out to work on the porch that is off my studio...what a few blooming plants can do to make your spirits soar!  DONE!!!

And God Bless The Tomatoes!

I was sitting here thinking about all those gorgeous chipboard pieces that were left over from the Make and Take cuts and thought...hmmmmm...Have to use them somehow!  Maybe tiles!  I think I will tile the ugly cabinet that holds my dies!  Yep!  Just what I'm going to do!  a million 2x2 tiles...Got the movie started...The Hunger Games and my paper out and I'm ready to make tiles....LOL!

You may have noticed I said nothing about doing my Taxes!  That will be for tomorrow!  LOL!

Y'all, have an awesome night!  I hope you have an amazing weekend!

  5. Oh, I am so jealous. I still have a four foot high snow banks on either side of my driveway! No thoughts of flowers or leaves yet. But the robins and red wing black birds are back. And the turkeys and swans are out. So there is hope. Love your quote wallet. And the idea for the tiles. I am going to paint and stencil some red rosin paper tomorrow to make the three tired box. Love the idea of making a storage box for the dyes. Just want to make it so the bottles can stand up. So painting my own paper. Just love all the inspiration I get from watching what you do. thanks as always for sharing.

  11. Love the wallet just posted! Wish I lived closer to take the class. I got tired just reading about everything you did but I will recover after sitting down for a spell. Do you ever get to sit in those cool garden chairs and relax? Hope so since we don't want you to get too tired of all this and quit!

  12. You had such a busy day - but all in a good way! How I wish I could come to your make and take next week! Your quote wallet is great too.

I had a good day yesterday as well. I took my birthday money to a papercrafting show and treated myself to some new stamps, dies, cardstock and the six new colours of Dylusions ink sprays! I'm planning to play this afternoon :)

Will you be Ustreaming today or will the taxes win out?

  17. I want to be sitting there right now. It's 48 here, windy and the dark clouds are heading this way, bringing rain until Tuesday! I love smelling my hyacinths when I walk in the front door and look at my bleeding hearts dancing around.....reminds me of my childhood. Wish they bloomed all summer. Can't wait to see what you create with those squares. Just bought another box of dominoes yesterday that I am going to use some day!

  18. Well done in getting all the make and takes finished and the quote wallet is gorgeous. Like you, I spent some time in the garden this weekend as well only I was pruning. Trying to tidy the shrubs and pots as this long, hot summer/autumn continues.
Can't wait to see the end result with the chipboard leftovers!!!

  20. Hello and hello,

Where can I get the chipboard like the stuff you used in this blog write up?
What do you cut it with?

Wonderful. I just love following you and your Beautiful Art.

I cannot find anywhere what the thickness is of the chipboard - grungeboard.
Have read many of your posts a second time looking for the information, or even where to buy it.

Have been to the local Craft Stores and the closest I could get was 'Brown Cardstock paper' in a pack. My calliper sows it as .25mm
It is more like 110# index paper - just brown.

Hope you get a lot of time to sit in the Red rocker and 'create'.

    Happy thoughts,
    Petrina

  22. Gorgeous, Jim! What a lovely spot. Things are starting to come to life here in the Northwest. My bald eagle is in her nest again. We see she and her mate flying in front of our house every morning and I love it when she nests in the same tree every spring. The quote wallet is the best - I've made two as gifts already. Time for one for myself, I think. Good luck with the accounting tomorrow.

  23. A few bloomin' plants?!!!! I'd say that is more than just a few, friend! But it is absolutely gorgeous! You need to put a work table out there so you can craft outside and be inspired from your wonderful patio!

  26. Well aren't you the ambitious one!!!!! But, if I read between the lines, I think you are procrastinating. You are doing anything and everything but those peskie taxes. I hate this time of year to, so we just hire someone. It just seems to soften the blow somehow when she finishes and we still owe big time, we just didn't have to do the work and worry part as well. Hubby always waits until the last minute before mailing the payment off. It just makes him feel better somehow. LOL.

  31. Hi Jim! I am impressed by your energy and know you are so happy to have those marked off your list. Your porch is gorgeous! I have a lot of weeds blooming and as I was pulling a few weeds on this sunny, something hauled off and bit my finger. I thought it was a snake and frantically looked through the weeds and didn't see a thing. So far my finger is just a normal size and color so I guess I will live. Every day is an adventure! Love your work and your wonderful humor- Thanks!
