Good Evening Everyone!
How the heck are ya? I've so missed blogging and missed hearing from you!! Trying to work a full time job, getting kits and samples made for classes and trying to get a grip on my top hat in the paper crafting world has literally taken every minute I have. If you can burn candles on more than one end, boy I'm doing it! But I LOVE IT!!!!
Sometimes I love it so much that things get neglected...SOOO, I took a few hours today and actually cleaned the house. LIKE CLEANED! Like cleaned the bathtub, washed the sheets and swept the front porch clean! Tonight, I sit in my ever so tidy house as I blog (and fold clothes) and I couldn't be happier than a pig in mud! SO FEELS GOOD! Clean sheet night tonight is something to look forward to!
Today...Tonight... actually... I couldn't be any more proud to announce that I finally... finally have the Lynn's Light-By The Sea Lighthouse tutorial done!! It's been what... 2 years now and it's finally done! It's a celebration for me really! So much so that we decided to order a pizza and crack open a bottle of Coke on a week night! BAHAHAHAH! This project is sooo cool and one of my favorites. When you see this project done, it's pretty impressive. Now I'm not saying that to boast...trust me....Not my bag! It's just that it looks so awesome in a room. Anytime anyone comes to my house they go directly to it and ask about it! TRUST!
The tutorial is NOW available in my Etsy shop HERE. I may be crazy, but I'm selling it three ways:
One, I'm selling the tutorial full of really TONS of pictures, instructions, the octagon templates... by instant download. You can get the tutorial HERE.
Two, I'm selling just the laser cut pieces that include the octagons, windows and angle pieces... for those of you who do not want to cut these pieces out. You can get the laser cut pieces HERE.
Three, I'm selling the COMPLETE KIT!!! Let me explain the kit...The kit includes the tutorial, (1) pad of Graphic 45's, By The Sea Paper Collection Pad, ALL PIECES pre-cut from heavy weight chipboard, the laser cut chipboard pieces...which include all the octagons, windows and angled roof pieces, the Hitch Fasteners, Foundation Feet, Paper Accents red cardstock for the mini, the acrylic windows, the frosted film for the windows, the bamboo skewers, (20) structure strips ready to go with Scor-Tape, a small bottle of Glossy Accents and a battery operated tea light. Wheew! Hope I haven't left anything out! You Can get the kit HERE.
In celebration of getting this tutorial done, I will refund (1) person the full amount of whatever, tutorial, tutorial and laser cut pieces or complete kit they paid for. To be eligible for this refund, please leave a comment on my blog by Monday, April 14th stating three of your favorite projects I've done. I will run a random number drawing and pick the winner Monday night and issue the refund.
And yes, I will do a stream on how to make Lynn's Light live in he near future....:)
Thank you all so much!
Jim
The Gentleman Crafter
Is it just me? I'm not finding the COMPLETE KIT on your Etsy site. This is such a great project!
ReplyDeleteI added links to the blog post above to get you directly to each item. Thanks tons! Jim
DeleteMy three favorite projects are the lighthouse (which is my all time favorite), the Silver Skull crypt and the roll top desk. Of course, I've relatively new to you and haven't even gotten through all your 'old' stuff. Oh, and for the fourth favorite, your back to basics series, which taught me soooo very much.
ReplyDeleteYahoo!!! I will be ordering the tutorial and possibly the laser cuts if I can get them in black, or are you doing just natural? I don't want to deal with paypal so I will send you the cash in Fridays mail.
ReplyDeleteMy three favorites are the Lighthouse of course, the Farris wheel and my Stereoscope! But there really is nothing you've done that I don't like. Are you nuts selling the kit with all the chip cut out? And structure strips? Sounds like alot of work!! Thanks Jim for all you do.
Wow! Simply amazing! I really love (how do you pick just 3 favs?) the ladies roll top desk, the lighthouse, and the destinations storage box!
ReplyDeletegot mine. Thanks Jim was waiting for this ever since you made the first one
ReplyDeleteI can't find the complete lit either....help!!
ReplyDeleteSorry Kathi and Bobbie- I added links to the blog post above to directly get you to each item...
DeleteThanks so much for the heads up!
Jim
Great job! That is a lot of work to offer a full kit! Hmmmmm, my 3 favorite, that's a toughie. I think it would be the beach tag, as the world turns storage box, and the Hemingway album. You sound like you are having a good time. Yippee!
ReplyDeleteLove this lighthouse. The roll top desk is special I like the clock too.
ReplyDeleteGentleman Jim, how great to have another blog post from you with such an amazing lighthouse! Magnificent! I am glad you got to sit and splurge on pizza and coke in your freshly cleaned home. There is nothing better, is there? So glad to hear from you again! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations for finishing this project!!! I know you were ready to celebrate!!! You want me to pick JUST 3?!?!?! Can't do it...love everything you've made!!!
ReplyDeleteFANTASTIC JIM! congratulations on completing it...this is very very hard to pick just 3 and I am assuming it has to be limited to ones you have done shows/tutorials for....however, a couple of my favs that you didn't do tutorials for but were CHA projects were the working ferris wheel and the haunted house (cause I love Halloween)....so my three are: Mr. Roboto (because he was the first or one of the first you ever did and sort of had my grandson in mind when you designed it - so forever has a special meaning for me); the monthly idea organizer (cause I use it A LOT!); and the travelling wine case (cause my friend loved it!)....thanks for the chance to win....you are a most generous person and cannot wait to meet you in July..take care

Oh Jim I'm so happy to have this tutorial now! Thank you so much. Of course this is one of my favs, along with with your Haunted House and the Roosevelt Album. Thanks for always sharing and being yourself.
ReplyDeleteVERY impressive. I do lots of hands on projects but have never posted any of them. Maybe at some point I should. Love you're blog and the projects you share.
ReplyDeleteDear Jim! You won't believe, but I'm sitting hear and crying. I can't believe that my dreams came true after two years of waiting for this tutorial! Thank you so much!!! I don't need a refund, I just love all your projects, but for me this Lighthouse is the best!!!
ReplyDeleteOh.My.Gawsh!!! This is too freaking amazing!
ReplyDeleteI must make this! WOW! It will probably take me more than 3 years to make, but I must try. Which 3 projects?? Are you kidding me??!! You cannot ask a mom which child she likes best (Ok--maybe you can, but not this mom!!) Amazing Jim--well done!!
Love, love, love lighthouses and you! My favorite projects? OK, where to begin...Lighthouse, monthly organizer, wine box, exploding box, Mr. Roboto, policy meets tag mini, traveling wallet, bat treat box, ...oh, how I could go on! Just a hug at the Steampunk Soiree will do.
ReplyDeleteStunning! What an awsome project.
ReplyDeleteJim,
ReplyDeleteI have not known you for very long, but I did remember when I first saw the Lynn Lighthouse. I was blown away. I never thought that you were going to do a tutorial for this one and was soo excited when someone told me that you were doing one. ALL are my favorites, but if I had to choose it would be Lynn's Light, Good Old Sport Trophy and the Leisa Traveling Wine Box. The attention to detail and just the way the projects were designed just about makes my day (when I see a new one). I'm a visual learner, so I would hope that you can do a Ustream project on the Sports Trophy and the Light. May YOUR Light keep shining so that you can bring us the happiness that you so often seem to accomplish with these projects. Job well done, AGAIN, good Sir.
Hmm pick three, well I haven't made one yet just found out about you from the Crafty Scraper posting about your class. I am so excited to get the Lighthouse and Trophy kits thru them, keep looking at them in amazement, oh but the roll top desk just have to make, so ready to make it!! I just got an order of chipboard in so ready for my Mom's visit next week (we have big plans of scrapbooking most of her visit).
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all your projects, they truly inspire me so thank you for sharing what you do so beautifully!!!!
I am soooo excited to make the lighthouse; I had already ordered the lighthouse and trophy kits from The Craft Scrapper. I also love the Hemingway album and the quote wallet. I also love the 4th of July album and box. My sister Ginny Papp and I have ordered 8 or 9 tutorials as you inspire us so. Your chest moved me so that I am now working on a chest to house my beaded jewelry. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteMy three fav's would have to be Lynn's Lighthouse, The Roosevelt Album and The Good Old Sports Trophy. Not to say that all your other projects are not my fav's because everything you create is just outstanding!
ReplyDeletelove it. now I have a gift for for my friends this Christmas. thanks a always for sharing.
