It's so nice to be able to have a chance to breathe for a second before the next round of projects begin...tonight! LOL! The last couple of weeks have been doozies! I think yesterday hits the top 100 list for male-multi-tasking!! It was like this...Came home from work...(when I come in the door to my house, I enter through my studio! Big mistake, never do this to yourself!...It'll kill you!) and literally would undo buttons, glue the lanterns together, pull off belt, glitter the manse roof, etc, etc! When I finally put the last touch on it, I was dressed in my comfiest of clothes glittering and gleaming from Art Glitter's...glitter...and then I sat down and tackled a new blog! Whew! All this to say...I really do appreciate you taking the time to come visit my new blog (Typepad, EAT YOUR HEART OUT!!!) and I'm so excited you all like the Happy Haunting Haunted House! I had so much fun making it! It was one of those projects where you just wanted to keep going with the detail and literally had to say.."ENOUGH JIMBO! ENOUGH!"
Tutorial you ask? Well, I'm not promising anything until I finish up the Lighthouse Tut! I've learned my lesson there in promising something that I just couldn't get done by when I said I'd get it done! I totally try you guys, honestly I do! Writing patterns sucks up so much time and I always have so many projects to get done...rather want to do. If any of you are pattern writers, let me know, let's work out something! :)
In someones email, did you say that YouTube has a live video now? I'm so ready to do Ustreams or YouTube live...if there is one!! As I've said before, my "Country Connection" with my Internet satellite company is not the best! However, I have had a couple of offers from some followers that live near me....Thank Kim! Is the offer still good? LOL! Anyway, better get started! I finally picked up the studio to make a video on the Haunted House! Got to love picking up the studio before company comes! LOL!
Here's a video to walk you through the Haunted House! Sorry it won't post to my page, but just click the link below....

Once Again y'all, Thank you so much for following and subscribing!! It means the world to me!! Oh yeah...Tell your friends what my new home is and head 'em over! :)
Y'all Rock!
Jim
The Gentleman Crafter
Absolutely the internet offer is still valid! You will feel right at home here with 6 dogs and a catdog. Sorry, no ducks or chickens though. SO glad you moved and took the stress off yourself. And you worried no one would follow. Can't shake us that easy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim! You Rock!
DeleteThanks for the video tour of the haunted house! I loved seeing each little part up close.
ReplyDeleteQuestion...what did you decorate the water fountain ball with...the "water" part??
I love this project...who wouldn't...too clever...as usual!!
Barb,
DeleteIt's the Art Gliiter...Let me grab the name real quick....#123 Dusty Blue Opaque Ultrafine glitter. You can order it here:
http://www.artglitter.com/retail/glitterpages/ruoblu.htm
It's a pretty color! I think it's cool against the black.
Hope all is well with you and hubby!
J.
if you want help with writing the tutorials, That's something I don't mind doing. I;'d show you a sample, but they are all jewelry ones, and they died when my last computer died.
ReplyDeleteThanks my friend!!...I know how to write 'em...At least I think I do...Just need the time to do it...
DeleteHugs to ya!

Jim...email Kathy Orta. She has a program called Dragon. You talk and it types. She says it has helped her. Not sure if she still uses it, but worth asking how she liked it.
DeleteDonna, fantastic Idea! Oh My Gosh this could be the answer! Thank you thank you! Hugs my friend!

Loved the haunted house Jim. Question - what paper are you using for the two towers on each side of the mansion????? You also used this on the light house. It's the one with black background and goldish letters. I can't seem to find it in any of the g45 lines.
ReplyDeleteMarcie
Hey Marcie,
DeleteI believe It's ABC Primer....Let me look...Oh my gosh, I don't see it either on G45's site...Let me go to the studio and find out! You have me curious now!....Yes, It is ABC Primer. The paper is called Alphabet Soup. Had to do a little investigating...Scrapbook.com has it by the single sheet or it's in the ABC Primer pad.
Hope this helps!
J.
You couldn't get rid of us all that easy Jim! It will take more than changing blogs lol. Your an inspiration I don't know how you do it all!
ReplyDeleteOh Cassandra, you are always the best! I love ya! What can I say! Hahahaha!

Great engineering on the haunted house.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it came right out of the South.
Thanks for sharing.
It kinda does doesn't it! It reminds me of a manse in Rockport, Texas called the Fulton Mansion. Totally different shape, but same spooky Victorian vibe. Thanks! J.
DeleteYou gave me a huge scare mister! :-P I've had your link on my blog so that I could see it as soon as you posted something new (and always something awesome). Mo (Mori49)

Your studio is fast becoming a film set - great! I love your attention to detail and your projects are always full of little surprises. I was wondering how you'd made the light sconces and had marvelled at you punching out all those circles for roof shingles and sticking them on individually, then I see that the coutyard is not a patterned paper - but you've punched that out as well!
ReplyDeleteI hope you managed to get some well deserved sleep last night!
Lynn
Lynn, I think I finally caught the bus to sleepy town around 2a.m. Been making "Man Jewelry" for the Inspiration Emporium July Challenge! I was too hyped to sleep! LOL!
DeleteThank you again for my treats! I want to show everyone so I will blog about it soon! You are the sweetest! Thank you-Thank you!
J.
Well after watching that video I am really floored! You did more work on this house than I suspected. Individual circle punches for the roof tiles? WOW! I thought that was a scallop border! It was great to see a video of this in terms of getting an idea of size too. Can't wait for you to share how you did the binding in the album!
ReplyDeleteCaryn, I can't wait to show y'al the binding too! It's really cool! Will do soon! Thanks Tons!

I am so glad that I found you again. Yesterday the link would not work at all! I felt so left out! Whew! I feel better now. The haunted mansion is very nice. I am not really a Halloween person myself, but those iron gates remind me of New Orleans and I am wondering if I could make a Mardi Gras Mansion instead of a Halloween/Haunted mansion. Are the gates die cuts? Again, you have amazed me! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Konnie for following me over. The gates are actually Want2Scrap's Mini chipboard album covers. They make the coolest stuff! Anyway, I took the gates and painted them black, then took Tim's Distress embossing powder in Vintage Photo and embossed them. Rubbed off the sand crystals, rubbed the Black Soot Distress Ink pad over them and then embossed them again in UTEE.
DeleteI think a New Orleans manse would be awesome! Maybe with a widows peak and more iron! Good thinking Konnie! If you do it let me see!
Thanks Konnie!
Jim
Your projects are so amazing! You are so talented!
ReplyDeleteThanks Holly!

Jim, Samie-Kira the Journal Girl does a live stream through Google+ that allows her to be live and interact with (I think) up to 10 others who can see and hear each other and then the others are in a chat area. It is quite awesome. Don't know if this would help but I so love your videos.
ReplyDeleteI see you are up to 186 followers my friend! I'm glad you are back blogging again too-I missed my morning cuppa Jim, hee, hee. Hope you are going to get some rest. What a crazy ride!
ReplyDeleteHey Jim, glad you found a new home, i thought i lost you and then a girlfriend told me you had a new blog...so a little research and viola...there you are. I would miss your writing if I couldnt find you.
ReplyDeleteHi Gentle Jim! Worried when I didn't see your regular posts, but you can't shake us "oldies" that easily! I've been here (although quietly) for a long time, and can't get through the day without my giggle from you. And then you treat us with your fantasmaslistic Haunted House as a housewarming treat for your new blog home! I broke every rule I have had for many years against social media and throwing my ID into the universe, and officially enrolled to follow you (even though I did have an email subscription). I would do this for no one else. I'm thrilled to watch your genius bloom. Love ya.
ReplyDeleteTrudie, you won my heart! I will try not to social media you to death or sell your name to the internet fortune telling company! LOL! I'm totally honored. Please know how much I appreciate it! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
DeleteI found you! I thought it strange I had not seen any posts from you for several days in my reader, so I decided to actually go to your blog....and found out about this new one. Can we say I was feeling TGC deprived? LOL...anyway the Haunted House is incredible, and I have this new blog in my reader now....don't move again!
ReplyDeleteYou rock too! As always, your work is great. Please, don't disappear again.
ReplyDeleteYou are truly inspirational!!!
