Where Texas Meets Great Britian

Well, I'm totally amazed at how everyone is finding me!  Thank you so much!  So glad to have you!  New or old you are welcome here!  I once said how cool it was to be apart of this amazing family of paper crafters and it truly is!  How cool is it that we all share with each other different things for the betterment of the community!  Here' my attempt...I hope that you can find some inspiration from my blog whether from ideas, projects, videos or me just hanging out shootin' the shenanigan's!  LOL!

I just wanted to give you a heads up on some things I will be sharing with you soon....I never showed you my CHA Graphic 45 Bird Song Extra Project.  It was one of my favorites for CHA.  Well, I will share that tomorrow!  See it was just a tease!  Mean huh?  LOL!  Can you tell I was the only boy in the family of two older sisters!  Brat!  I say Brat!  :)  Hopefully my sister is still trying to find my blog over at Typepad!  She's got a fist on her like nobody's business!  I've experienced it before!  I was the only student that had a black eye from their sister in 6th grade!  What can I say!  Oh that reminds me...you all need to....well...remind me for lack of other words....to tell you about the time I tripped over two guys fighting in the hall at school!  Yep, they were fine, I came home with a broken arm!  Bahahahhaaha!  True story!  I can't help but sit here and watch my belly jiggle I'm laughing so hard!

OK, Sorry, where was I...I haven't got a clue!  :)

Oh yeah, I wanted to do a big thank you to my UK friend, Lynn Wild for the amazing gift she sent as a thank you!  If you recall, she was the one responsible for giving me the idea for the Lynn's Light Lighthouse project!   Here's a vid of me being totally blown away and even eating some of the goodies she sent while I'm talking!  My Mom would die!  She seriously taught me better!  Right Mom?  Hey Mom are you a follower yet?  Why can't I get the people who love me the most to follow?  I think they are afraid I will do a tell all novella!  Hmmmm, maybe I could write it and make a chipboard box to put it in!  :)

Anyway, here's the vid....

Thanks for Visiting!

  4. Isn't it Carol! Did you see that smile on my face when I brought the box from my ante-table to my work surface? When I went back to watch, I thought I looked like a little boy who had just received his first candy bar!

So far they haven't but of course I just wear it around the house. If I were to go up to the country store with it on I might get socked1 But I say BRING IT! LOL!

Thanks C for watching the vid!

  5. Okay, it's past midnight and here I am watching a video of you opening presents...what's up with that??!! Really though, all those goodies are so much fun and I love that you did a video of it all! What a thoughtful gift from Lynn! I think a lot of us tend to think that crafters like you, who are on design teams are up to your neck in product and really already have way too much. But it was fun seeing that there are still things out there that you haven't seen yet! Have loads of fun with all your loot and thanks for showing it to us!
    Love your blog!!

  7. Hi Jim, What a wonderfull gift-box Lynn put together! Since I'm from the Netherlands and my sister lives in the UK I have seen a lot of the union jack and other UK symbols and they are great! I resently bought stamps and paper with that theme from papermania. What a lovely and yummie presents and you absolutely deserve it with all the hard work you've put out on your projects! The stencils on the end of the video are originaly from Italy. They use it to sprinkle cocoa on top of the white foam of a capucino coffee. Offcours, now we drink capucino all over the world. :-) I can't wait to see your next project and I have to say, from all the blogs I check every day, yours is the most fun and most inspiring I've ever seen! Thank you for letting us be a part of your life. Hugs, Dee

    1. Sharon, Thank you! I love to try and find humor in stuff! Sometimes it's easier than others. What truly is easy is to find things the negative and why spend your energy on that! Too many cool things to do, hear, see and say! So I appreciate your comment! Thanks my friend!

    1. Barb, I did not! LOL! Actually, I'm sure I did...The worst part was telling everybody how I got the black eye! Forget telling them my sister clobbered me! I probably said It came from a bar fight! Of course I flattened the other dude! :)

  15. Isn't it fun to have "across the miles" friends! I have a few that I've never seen, yet they have become trusted friends. This craft brings out the best in people (sometimes the not so good...lol) .... mostly the best.

Looking forward to what you have for us next!

  16. Re; tripping over the fighting guys in the hall: It's always the innocent bystanders that get hurt!

What an incredibly generous gift from your UK friend! I am jealous, I must admit. I have relatives that live there and my MIL goes to visit every year, and do I have any queen's jubilee stuff? I think not (well ok I do have some paper plates, but my son brought that for me last year so I don't think that counts!). Never mind, I will be visiting next year and you can be sure I will be on the lookout for some of those goodies. Your tea drinking in the video has made me want a cuppa...going to brew some now! Where did I put that can of Uncle Joe's...?

  17. 18. What a wonderful box to open! I just wish it weren't 103 here in beautiful humid NC so I could enjoy a cuppa with you.

I was looking at your revolving globe/map and was very excited to see that you've picked up fans and views from all over the world. And to think that you were afraid that you wouldn't have anything to blog about and that nobody would read you! Congratulations - we're all looking forward to future posts!

  20. What a cool present, and what a nice thing for Lynn to do! I can almost--almost--taste the cookies, your description is so, well--descriptive!

  21. I'm so pleased that you liked it all. Drifty is quite right - I had a ball filling that box for you! There is a saying that there is more pleasure in giving than in receiving and I think it's right ... although you certainly seemed to be enjoying that shortbread!

You really made me laugh when you suggested coating the icing cake decorations with glossy accents and using them on an album! I bet you would as well!

Thank you for the video! I shall look forward to your blog post tomorrow.
