National Scrapbook Day! Yahoooo!

Good Morning Everybody!

Happy National Scrapbook Day To Ya!  I hope that you have an amazing day playing with paper and keeping those memories alive!

Today, as you know by now, I will be celebrating it at Chico Scrapbooks in Chico, California.  I will be teaching the Quote Wallet today to several poor folks that get to hear me ramble for a few hours...LOL!  But at least we should come away with a cool little mini when done.  So, I'm looking forward to 10:00 a.m.  Yahoooo!

I wanted to take a second and fill you in on yesterday's fun filled day in this beautiful city.....

First we had an amazing guided tour by Sharon Young of just a few of Chico's highlights,,,

Sharon Aka Sharona

First it was a drive around the amazing downtown area.  Such a cool city!  I loved all the Victorian homes and the cool architecture...Then it was over to the Bidwell Mansion for a look...

Next it was over to see the park and the amazing Sycamore Pool at Bidwell Park.  Just beautiful....

Next we met up with Linda aka Yaya Ladybug and Jim aka Wine Country Jim back at the shop and lifted off for lunch and a tour of Sierra Nevada Brewing Company...Toolicious!

Linda-Yayaladybug and Winecountry Jim at Sierra Nevada

I have no idea what I'm doing here!

Next up...Eighth and Main Antiques for a bit of a look!  I scored with a bag of some FOB watch bezels and and old ledger!  Yahoooo!

Then it was time to get all scrappy at Chico Scrapbooks!

Cool Right?  So Amazing!

Debi Jackson-Schnabel giving me an FANTABULOUS moustache covered pin cushion....Thanks Debi!

I did manage to work on a tag between gabbing!  LOL!  Jodie just brought in Ranger's Inkssentials Memory Foil Tape and I thought cool....Taggage!

Well, that was my day yesterday!  So much fun!  Thank you everybody for your kindness!

Have an
AWESOME NATIONAL SCRAPBOOK DAY!

  9. Well Jim, enjoyed the pics. Definitely made me home sick. I am from No. CA. Did you love Chico. Such an interesting town. Lot's to do and see. Not sure how much it has changed, but use to have several great restuarants in it's day. Have not been there for several years now. We really missed you, so I hope you had a great day. We sure did. Laura, Kathryn and Kathy all had wonderful shows and we all had such a blast. I knew it wasn't going to happen, but I was hoping to be the lucky one to be drawn for your wonderful clock. Looks like you and Cesar were well taken care of. Great tag by the way. When will you be back?
    You were missed.

  11. Jim...sorry about another flight adventure, but glad you made it and the pictures are wonderful. Can't wait until you have a teaching opportunity here in the midwest. Thought you might be interested in knowing that my mother was a Bidwell and a great, great cousin of the family whose mansion you visited. Shared your blog post with the "family". :)

  12. Jim, My mother grew up in Chico in a little town called Capay. I have pictures of her in the Bidwell pool when she was little. She grew up in Chico with her four brothers and learned how to swim in the Sacramento River :) I am so glad you were able to visit Chico and really enjoyed your pictures.
