Canvas ala Fiona!

Good Saturday Morning To You All!

Well, it's a slowwwwww start this morning!  I love the weekends so I can stay up late and craft longer!  Well, I did!  I worked on a canvas that Fiona (Jennings644 on Youtube) did on her Ustream class yesterday! Of course hers is better and frankly easier to look at!  I grabbed my Dylusions sprays and inked mine up pretty good! Bahahahaha!  I also got around to work on the Steampunk woman statue thing that I've mentioned before...which I'm still working on and will have done today!  One of those projects that I can't seem to stop playing with! She's going to be cool!

But for this morning....I wanted to share my first dimensional canvas.....It's pretty much a hot mess but at least I learned a few things for next time....

I might have to re-gesso it and start again on this canvas....but it was fun to do!

Y'all have a great Saturday!

  6. A Hot Mess? Its awesome.. stop being so hard on yourself.. art is art.. and you did a great job on this. I want to make one myself. if you aren't already familiar with Leanne on youtube here is the video on her canvas. If I am not mistaken she had originally started the idea. She is awesome.. I know you will love her work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=NHtHVrYEkP4#!

  9. Jim; love the dimension and the intensity but rather than re-gessoing the whole thing how about hitting it with some black? I bet it makes your dimension POP even more!.

  11. Your first turned out much better than my first! I didn't know Fiona had a u-stream channel. It must not be the same as her u-tube channel? I'd love to watch the class if you could let me know how to find it. Thanks Jim. Happy Easter!

  17. I've been trying to find time to watch Fiona's videos for creating these kinds of canvases but just haven't gotten there yet. I want to see your canvas in person...so many layers and interesting bits on it. I'll bet I could use up a lot of my hoarded stash making one of these...thanks for the inspiration!!
