New Tutorial: Thankful Things Book!

Good Evening Everyone!

It's been one of those amazingly productive days.  I am thankful that I have had the energy to get up and keep going all day!  Today, I worked on a new tutorial that I'm excited to share with you.  I also pulled out Santa's from the barn to place about the house in my continued effort to get the house ready for Christmas...EARLY!!! We shall see!  LOL!

I just finished a tutorial on the Thankful Things Book.  A wonderful project that I will be taking with me as a gift for Thanksgiving with my family.

I was driving down the road in traffic when I thought of this project.  One thing I do when I get frustrated is to think of all the things I am thankful for.  I had a car, I had the ability to buy gas to fill it, and I had a job that I was driving to that I enjoy.  I also had the time to think…Hence, the Thankful Things Book…

With the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday, I thought it would be nice to bring along a book where each of us could place what we are thankful for.  The Thankful Things Book has a secret drawer that opens to reveal pieces of cardstock and pen so that each family member can write what they are thankful for and place it on one of the book pages within the book.  A wonderful keepsake of the holidays to go back and remember... How Thankful We Are.

I would be honored if you would take a look.   The tutorial for the Thankful Thing Book is now available in my Etsy shop HERE.  I hope you give it a try.  It's a wonderful gift that will truly be a cherished keepsake.

Thanks For Coming By!

  4. Jim this is gorgeous and what a great idea for the upcoming holiday!!!!!!! You amaze me my friend. I do have a question though. What is this made from. Is it several layers of chipboard or is that wood?????? If it is chipboard, you sure did a great job in making it look like wood. What a wonderful piece to pull out and add to each year. As hubby and I host Thanksgiving and Christmas at our home each year and the entire family is invited, this really would be a great project for us. Thanks Jim for these wonderful projects!!!!!!

  6. Love this! It wouldn't work with my tiny family, which consists of 2.5 men and me. The 2.5 pages would all say, 'Thankful for food" and the rest would be me rambling, like always. I do think this would be a great gift for someone with a nice big family and will keep it tucked back in my brain. I miss the ustreams, life just has gotten in the way lately. Say hello to everyone in the corner. Hope they have been making me proud!!!!
