Back in the saddle again!

I don't think I have been this tired in quite a while!  I mean exhuasted!  Being a buyer for my real job is always very exciting!  New merchandise, new inspiration, new ideas, new merchandising concepts...But the price you pay...WOW!  It takes a toll on your body!  Walking miles, making decisions, do you think this will sell at this store, is this too pricey for this store, will they kill us if we try this at this store, is the yellow too yellow for fall?  Is the lampshade too modern for this store?  Would they be able to sell this quantity?  Have we stayed within budget?  Should we get this blouse in a 3X if it's sleeveless?  Tons of decisions to be made in rapid succession.  Got to keep moving!  Yep, add that to the miles of walking I mentioned above and you walk away at the end of the day mentally and physically drained!  LOL!

So I've got my feet up, laptop in hand  and finally some me time.  Hysterically, I find myself literally snoozing while writing this post!  LOL!   Soon I'm off to slumber land early!!  I have no doubt that I can catch some zzzz's tonight!  Looking forward to going to The Crafty Scrapper tomorrow in Waxahachie!  HIGHLIGHT!  LOL!

The main reason for this post was not to complain about how tired I was, that will go away with some good sleep tonight!  :)  The real reason was to thank you all for the kind comments I received today on the Haunted project!  I'm so glad you like it!  Tomorrow or Friday, I will post the tutorial for this project as it it totally easy to achieve and fast to make.  I would have done it here, but the pictures I took while making the project, reside on my camera at home.  Go figure...So please check back for that to be posted soon.

Have an awesome night and thank you all again!

  6. Great work, Jim. I'd still be at my 1st stop of the day trying to decide. A lot of pressure. I know you'll sleep tonight and you'll have The Crafty Scrapper to enjoy tomrrow. With you there in spirit. My Michael's has a new rack with 6x6 paper pads (not Reflections - MME I think)that are double-sided, good quality cardstock with some fun designs. $5.99 each if I remember correctly.I bought the Halloween one. Just know it'll come in handy.

  9. Well, at least you love to shop. But too much of a good thing is too much, right? Get some rest. When you get home, why don't you give yourself a couple of days to just recharge. You have really been under a very demanding schedule for quite some time now. Take a break. I give you permission. LOL

  10. If you are shopping in Waxahachie, you also need to stop in at Stamp Salado in Salado. A little shop on the North end of Salado, but one I always love visiting. She carries a lot of Tim Holtz items, as well as any stamp you can imagine! I always find odd little embellishments here that I've never seen elsewhere.

Have a great trip back and it will be good to have you home!

  14. I think you have a great job!!!! I have always said how much fun it would be to shop spending someone eleses money. I know in reallity, your shopping spree ultimately has to produce items that will turn around with a profit, and that must be stressful especially in this economy. But, you seem to have a good head on your shoulders and definitely a flair for style so I am sure you have made great choices. Get some rest. It is well deserved.

  15. YES, you should always get the blouse in 3x even if it is sleeveless. Do you know how hard they are to find? I like to be cool in the summer too even if I have fat arms. I know I'm fat ... and if someone else doesn't like lookin' at it, they should find something else to look at! LOL
