Just a quick post to prove we actually had rain in Texas today! It was so nice! Actually, it's still raining just not as hard at this very minute. That officially makes it 6 hours of moisture in Granger, Texas! Yahooo!
This video was taken from the front porch this afternoon....
FYI....Still working on craft projects! So please be patient...My real job seems to be getting the most of me at the moment and I come home exhausted. The weekend is coming and I look forward to some real time to craft and to get some things done. Don't get me wrong, I love my job and look forward to the daily challenges and blessings that it offers, but I love to be in the studio crafting more than anything else in the world! LOL!
Y'all have a wonderful evening!
The Gentleman Crafter
what a wonderful rain! I used to live in Kansas up til recently and I sure do miss the midwest rain. Enjoy it for me and I'm glad Texas has received some much needed moisture!ReplyDelete
Yeah! Rain!! I am heading home to Texas, (I hope...last time I flew there were tornados in Houston and all flights were cancelled!) tomorrow and I can not wait to see it! Thanks for the video clip Jim!ReplyDelete
Whooo Hoooo!!! Been watching the rain out in the Panhandle last night and I know down in your neck of the woods you are in far more need of rain then at my two homes. We got 1.6 inches as of dark according to our daughter at our ranch west of Groesbeck. No rain since about 3am at our Angleton home. We had about a half inch yesterday, but it's coming! Enjoy your crafting weekend as I will mine at a crop! Definitely following your blog since I've found it!ReplyDelete
Love the rain and hope it continues for the weekend. The tree peepers and toads are very happy. And there is nothing better than laying down with the dogs in the afternoon listening to the rain and dozing. I should be crafting but napping.was better. Enjoy it jim and get inspired by it. Hope the.job eases up. Having withdrawals.ReplyDelete
Raining here in Hudiksvall, Sveden too.... but I don't like it. House painting and rain don't get along :(ReplyDelete
There's something about the sound of rain...ReplyDelete
That rain sounds wonderful. I gather from your previous posts that it been a long time coming. We're just coming out of our 4th driest winter on record in Perth, Western Australia so know the excitment a good downpour creates. Enjoy it while it lasts.ReplyDelete
YEA RAIN! good day to stay in the studio, Jim....just listening to the rain!!!! can you look out the window and see the grass turning green???? Have a fun weekend!ReplyDelete
Ahhhh, glorious renewing rain. :)ReplyDelete
I hope you remember that your "real" job is just a means to support your crack... i mean craft habit.
:) Happy Friday
Thank GOD for the rain!!!! I'm enjoying watching and listening to it. Not sure how much we got at my house but it's been a lot...maybe 1.5"...give or take.ReplyDelete
You know it's an EVENT when a video of rain is posted on a blog...LOL!!!
Just a few more hours and it's PLAY time for you...hang in there...
Fort Worth is getting rain too. It is soooooooooooo nice. Love my rainy days. Wish the dogs felt the same way.ReplyDelete
We've gotten some rain here too in Midland!!! WOOHOO!!! We needed it and still need so much more!!!ReplyDelete
And we do miss you too! But I'm willing to wait for the great things you create! And I'd bet that others are too.ReplyDelete
Take care, hugs,Jess
Jim, I have to tell you your card for Diane is Wonderful!!!! Did you use a skewer in the binding? You must post a tutorial of how you did it, I love it. Hope your day goes fast so you can craft some more. ShariReplyDelete
Lucky you....rain?...what's that? We didn't get a drop.ReplyDelete
Beautifully done card for Diane!
Ahhhh, sweet rain makes everything seem new again. I'm right there with you my friend, time spent crafting is just the best! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!ReplyDelete
That's so funny, here in Gothenburg it rains like that every other day and I only like it if I'm allowed to be indoors scraping with a hot cup of choco:) What a funny world we all live in - LOL!ReplyDelete
The sound of rain is so soothing. Hope you get lots of crafting done this weekend.ReplyDelete
Ditto for me here in Vancouver (Canada)... It rains like that here all the time, especially during the winter months! We are having a gorgeous September (Indian Summer as they say) so far and all I can say is, I don't want it to END!!! After your down pour yesterday, I bet the air feels fresh and revived and it makes everything look greener again, a good feeling :-)ReplyDelete
Enjoy your weekend ! Wished I had your rain right now, it's 5:15 P.M. and 102 ... too hot !ReplyDelete
Just saw your card on graphic 45.... Love it! My favorite( of many!) paper..curiosity shop! My birthday is in January....just sayin!ReplyDelete
So glad someone is getting rain besides us! Don't you wish sometimes for Harry Potter power so you could even out the rain? Some people seem to have a glut and then there's other parts of the country begging for moisture. I walked outside Monday morning way before dawn and couldn't figure out what was different. It finally dawned on me (no pun intended) - I was seeing stars and the moon! What a strange and wonderful sight!ReplyDelete
Enjoy the rain - and use it as an excuse to not leave the house all weekend!
Grew up in Texas so I know what you are talking about with the rain and thunder storms. I have been to other states where they remarked about the "rain" storms and I was thinking their "rain" was just a drizzle compared to the storms I am used too. LOL Heck, SE Texas humidity is worse than what other people call "rain" LOLReplyDelete
Here in England it rains like that most of the time! We have had a dreadful summer this year and the garden is waterlogged.ReplyDelete
I hope that you are not overdoing it at work - you need to rest sometimes you know!
