  1. Thanks so much. I saw the Fiskars trimmer advertised and wondered about the chipboard. Off to Joann's.

  2. Very helpful, thank you. And with 40% off, it's really in range. I've admired your pumpkin several times now and if it should work out it would be great to hear how and with which tools you created the metal curlycues around his neck.Maybe just a 1/2 packet of the vitamin. And for Pete's sake, don't let the scorpions or tarantulas get into it.

  5. Thanks for sharing! I've made my decision...I'm going to save up for the rotatrim instead of this trimmer. Glad to see your demo!!!!

  6. Just got my rotatrim last week and love it! Got it for my anniversary and birthday. This looks great but glad I got the rotatrim.

  9. "Up and Adam"? Is that a Texas saying? Where I come from it's "up and at 'em"! I am giggling. Thanks for the video. I have a Fiskars trimmer that I bought to replace my 16 year old trimmer, and I hate the new trimmer, thus have put it in the closet. Maybe I will get it out and try again! Stay sane...or not. Teamie hugs!

  10. Hi Jim,
Trimmer looks interesting. Waiting for my guillotine trimmer to wear out but decided to check online at Joanns.com and it's not listed. Bummer.

  11. love that bus. it reminded me of the buses they made out of pottery in S. America with all the little figures on the roof. You really put so much time and talent into every piece.

  12. HI Jim, Thank you for sharing your really good tips. I SAW the raggety-taggety edges. I've discovered that with my $29.99 Fiskars trimmer, I need to pull down for a clean edge rather than push up. Since my "little" trimmer is portable, maybe I should get myself an early Christmas present and use the 40% off coupon this week for a "non-portable" trimmer. Hope my JoAnn's has it. Hmmmm. Have a great day.

  13. Jim, watched the video, and I have a question for you. It looks as though there is a rule on both ends of the cutting mat as well as metal stops at each end. Since this likes to cut in what you are calling the downward motion, can't you just line up the paper on the right side (or the bottom) so that the paper will be up against a stop? I might just be seeing things that are not there, but it sure looks like they have metal paper stops at each end. Looks like a handy little cutter, and I like that the rule is carried above the cutting blade area also. Some thing that the roto trim does not have. I love my roto trim but wish it was easier to cut small strips as well.

  14. Just came from Joann's. The proCision came to $71.99 before tax. You are one big enabler! But thank you, thank you, thank you. I can't wait to get it out of the box. Now if I only had a space in my room for it! Yikes, what was I thinking? I really would have liked the roto, but couldn't really justify the price, so I can cut chipboard! Love you, love your videos, love your blog, oh, and your projects rock, too. Linda Myers, Portland, maine

  16. Thank you for that video... I'm in need of a new trimmer, but still can't find or decide on which one I should get??? I'm currently on my 4th FISKAR one (SureCut Deluxe) which is no longer cutting a straight line. I love that the bed is 6 1/4", 15" Ruler w/wire cut-line showing exactly where the blade will cut. FISKAR's has been great... had issues w/2 previous ones and sent me a gift card to Michaels to have them replaced. Checked Joanns.com and not listed. I'm in Canada and unless I pay a fortune for shipping, it's best that I get one here and so far our Michaels or other shops don't have this new one. Have a Carl trimmer as well, which is not very portable and the disappointing thing is it's only 12"up x 9"wide. Hmmmm????... :-)
