Hi Jim, Love this video of you & your Mom crafting. Good on her for having a go, your blow torch would have had me running ;-) My Mum is due to retire soon & I am hoping this will mean that we will have chance to do some crafting together, just like this. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for having Mom stop by to say hi to us all.....she looks like a sweetie! And how. Cute when she said she was crafting while you were searching!!!!! Looks like y'all had fun...love the tag....but ummmmmm....isn't there a burn ban??!!!!!!!!!! Oh loved all the glasses hanging on the lampshade......you always have a pair handy!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us share the fun!
Hugs
Jim, your Mom is a lovely lady. Just adorable. She handled the flame thrower better then I expected. Looks like you had some quality time crafting together and the end results were fabulous. I know you missing her already. My Mom (who is 85), and lives with us now, is still pretty independant. She has her own granny flat and still drives. Don't know for how much longer though. She is experiencing dementia and can be very forgetful these days. She is very physically fit and hard to keep her down. Hard to see them get old, so enjoy your Mom as much as possible while you still can.

Your mom is adorable! I bet it was great having someone in there to share your craftspace! Love the tags! Do you like to burn all your projects? heehee! In all seriousness..they turned out really well! I'm too scared to play with fire, tho..I'd probably burn down the house!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet woman your Mom is! Thanks for sharing. On a different note, I love, love, love the altered box you did for CHA that's highlighted on the Graphic45 blog today. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteJim so what is the official name of the "flame thrower" and where does one buy such a tool? Just curious....

Hi Jim, it's been a while since I visited the blogs I follow and I decided to start with yours. What a lovely video! I really enjoyed watching you and your mom crafting in your studio. She seems a lovely, sweet lady! Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us. Greetz Dee
ReplyDeleteYour Mom is so precious and I love how kind you are to her. The two of you work well together. Love how the tag turned out. Your Mom deserves a big hand for her part in making it. We all know you do a fantastic job crafting but I'll give you a big hand also. lol I look forward to the next video with your mom assisting you in the studio. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThe look of joy on your face at having Mom "crafting" with you filled my heart. What a sweetheart she is! Thanks for sharing her with us. Ok, now about the blow torch . . . Your expressions when the tag was catching fire was priceless! You made my day.
ReplyDeleteI just loved your mom - wanted to give her a great big hug!
ReplyDeleteBTW, you need to try the duct tape and blow torch method from Craft Wars. It is sooooo you, and I thlought of you instantly when I saw the guy do it. Replays are online if you haven't seen it. (show sux but this was a great technique, lol)
Ok I'm waiting for my debut...Mom you did great! Love the tag Jbo and you too!!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet to see you and your mom in your studio together! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteyour mom is so darn cute enjoy all you can with her. My mom dies three years ago next month wasn't sick and it took me for a hard ride i tell you. She only lived 3 doors down from me so i saw her everyday. Make all the memories you can with her. I bet on her next visit she will bring you a fire extinguisher lol and didn't hear a smoke alarm go off either you might just get one of them also lol. Thanks for sharing your mom tell her dirty hands comes with the deal lol
ReplyDeleteJim you and your mom are adorable, and you have the best evil giggle...almost as bad as mine....thanks for sharing your time with your mom with us crafting it looks like you guys had a most fabulous time.
ReplyDeletePS: i am so in love with your craft space and where did you get your ink carousel again...i know you told us on a blog a while back but i cant remember...probably wont be able to buy it up here in the cold frozen north anyways...
well, cheers and i hope you have a wonderful evening.
That was a lot of fun! When she said "Look I'm crafting", I had to chuckle out loud. Love to see you working along side your mom. Your mom is brave, I would be very nervous that close to a torch! Can't wait to see the finished tag!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, your Mom is awesome. Makes me miss mine even more. My mom and sisters are huge crafters too, only they all live up in NY, 750 miles from me. I get pangs of jealousy when I call and they are all sitting around working on a project together. When I do get to visit and we all get together to craft, we laugh and have a great time too. BTW...great idea with the torch. I need to invest in one of those.
ReplyDeleteHappy Crafting....
Blessings,
Kimmie <3
So cute! Loved your Mom's expressions! Bet you get a fire extinguisher For Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your Mom with us!
Loved the video with your Mom! Nothing like the unique relationship between a Mom and her son. (Except maybe a Dad and his daughter:)
ReplyDeleteAww Jim, how adorable the two of you are, that was precious. I like how your mom calls you Jimmy...too cute! TFS
ReplyDeleteHow fun it was to watch you and your mom. Thanks for the vid. Can't wait to see mine in a few weeks for my parents 60th wedding anniversary. Great tag and Love the G45 project that was featured today on their blog. Thanks again
ReplyDeleteI just have to say how cute you and mom were working together. She kind of reminds me of my mom just sitting and watching what you did with the Big Shot. She looked kind of fascinated with these new fangled thingamabobs! (huge Big Shot by the way... haven't seen one that big). But what I really loved was the evil scientist laugh while burning your tag! Then she joined in with her laugh. So wonderful to see you enjoying each other. Love that you are a mama's boy. :)
ReplyDeleteJimmie! I just love your Mama! You are so blessed to have her join you in your craft room. Ho what I would give to have my Mom here on earth to share my Scrap Loft. I got a little chuckle when she called you Jimmie, My brothers name is also Jim and I am the only one who ever calls him Jimmy! He's my older brother and he's always been Jimmy to me in all my 50 years! Thanks for sharing your video and I hope your mom will join you again. Have a wonderful day and thanks for putting a smile on my face.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Glad the smoke alarm didn't go off! hehehe ;)
That's so awesome to have your mom there with you!
ReplyDeleteThe tags were awesome too!
Fun to see that your mom will still play with you. She's very cute. thanks as always for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you and your Mom were having a great time together, "Jimmie"! I know you meant this as a fun, casual video but I always learn something whenever I watch you craft. I would have never thought of torching something. Now I'm intrigued and will definitely give it a try someday. Give your Mother our best and tell her we (your followers) can't wait to see what she makes next! Laura in Belgium
ReplyDeletePS - How many pairs of glasses do you have??
Jimmy - what a wonderful memory! Your mom is a doll! Does the tag smell burned? Just curious. My Mom just sits and watches while I craft. My Dad thinks that I missed something in Kindergarten since I love to "color" cut and paste as he puts it. Thanks for sharing you Mom with all of us.
ReplyDeleteYour Mom is so lovely! I'm glad you had such a good time.
