Rain In Texas!

Hello Everybody!

Just a quick post to prove we actually had rain in Texas today!  It was so nice!  Actually, it's still raining just not as hard at this very minute.  That officially makes it 6 hours of moisture in Granger, Texas!  Yahooo!

This video was taken from the front porch this afternoon....

FYI....Still working on craft projects!  So please be patient...My real job seems to be getting the most of me at the moment and I come home exhausted.  The weekend is coming and I look forward to some real time to craft and to get some things done.  Don't get me wrong, I love my job and look forward to the daily challenges and blessings that it offers, but I love to be in the studio crafting more than anything else in the world!  LOL!

Y'all have a wonderful evening!

  3. Whooo Hoooo!!! Been watching the rain out in the Panhandle last night and I know down in your neck of the woods you are in far more need of rain then at my two homes. We got 1.6 inches as of dark according to our daughter at our ranch west of Groesbeck. No rain since about 3am at our Angleton home. We had about a half inch yesterday, but it's coming! Enjoy your crafting weekend as I will mine at a crop! Definitely following your blog since I've found it!

  4. Love the rain and hope it continues for the weekend. The tree peepers and toads are very happy. And there is nothing better than laying down with the dogs in the afternoon listening to the rain and dozing. I should be crafting but napping.was better. Enjoy it jim and get inspired by it. Hope the.job eases up. Having withdrawals.

  7. That rain sounds wonderful. I gather from your previous posts that it been a long time coming. We're just coming out of our 4th driest winter on record in Perth, Western Australia so know the excitment a good downpour creates. Enjoy it while it lasts.

  19. Ditto for me here in Vancouver (Canada)... It rains like that here all the time, especially during the winter months! We are having a gorgeous September (Indian Summer as they say) so far and all I can say is, I don't want it to END!!! After your down pour yesterday, I bet the air feels fresh and revived and it makes everything look greener again, a good feeling :-)

  22. So glad someone is getting rain besides us! Don't you wish sometimes for Harry Potter power so you could even out the rain? Some people seem to have a glut and then there's other parts of the country begging for moisture. I walked outside Monday morning way before dawn and couldn't figure out what was different. It finally dawned on me (no pun intended) - I was seeing stars and the moon! What a strange and wonderful sight!
Enjoy the rain - and use it as an excuse to not leave the house all weekend!

  23. Grew up in Texas so I know what you are talking about with the rain and thunder storms. I have been to other states where they remarked about the "rain" storms and I was thinking their "rain" was just a drizzle compared to the storms I am used too. LOL Heck, SE Texas humidity is worse than what other people call "rain" LOL

  24. Here in England it rains like that most of the time! We have had a dreadful summer this year and the garden is waterlogged.
I hope that you are not overdoing it at work - you need to rest sometimes you know!
