Hello Everyone!
Well, today was another remarkable day. I left St. Pete about 2 hours ago ...just in time for the Tampa's 5 O' clock traffic. Got to love the timing of it all! LOL! I've about decided to stop doodling in the book I made today because the stop/start traffic was making my round arches look like a drunk buzzard flying through Indian country. Plus it was giving me a bit if a headache! No, I'm not driving today. Not my turn.
Back to the class...y'all, I'm just amazed at the amount of energy Dyan has. Her class is filled with so many cool techniques that the time totally flies. Before I knew it we had finished the first class and looked up at the clock and we had finished the second. I must totally admit that about 30 minutes before the class was over, I started to feel a bit sad about leaving Lady Dy, Jill and all the friends I had made at WhimSoDoodle. But I will have the memories and the awesome projects to go back to time and time again. Thank you Dyan Reaveley and WhimSoDoodle I had a blast!
So, as I said before or maybe in the title, I am cell phone blogging from the car. Nightfall is upon us and a late night ahead. If you pray, I'd be grateful if you would send one up for safe travels this evening.qQQ Tuckered out and loaded with ink I am. I'm sitting here with a grin on my face as I look at my leg. (See the picture somewhere below. Blogger Mobile doesn't allow me to insert pictures where I want, just allows me to place them at the end of the post.). I had just loaded the leaf stamp with black Archival ink and fumbled it. It flew up and as it was coming down I managed to catch it between my knees. Good huh? Now as Dyan says, I have a true badge of honor to wear into every rest stop and conveniece store from here to Hilton Head Island.
Going to stop somewhere and have one if my favorite fast food hamburgers...Wendy's.
Have an awesome evening y'all!

Wow....seriously, I am so jealous! I have some of the Dylusions sprays and had NO idea that you could do what you did with them. I am going to have to figure out a way to take one of her classes.
ReplyDeletePlease be safe.
PS: Wendy's spicy chicken sammiches are my favorite.
love your journal pages...and your "dylusional badge'!!!! And your inky fingers!!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had such a great time...would love to take one of her classes someday. In the meantime, hope you can share some of what you learned...Big Texas-sized prayers for a safe trip! write soon!
Looks like you learned well, grasshopper...those pages are very cool! And I must have that stamp! Safe journey to you, my friend.
ReplyDeleteWell, now you've gone and done it. Tattooed your self. LOL. I have to tell you about my not so temporary tattoo. I was at the Buda wiener dog races and got a spray on tattoo of a dachshund on my arm. Ran around all day in the sun. When the tattoo eventually washed off, I still had it because the sun had tanned my arm around the tattoo. So I had a dog on my arm for about a year!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had such a blast. The journal looks beautiful. Safe travel to HH. Time to just relax!
Isn't it the best when you get "lost" in your crafting. So happy for you that you got to take her classes! The inky fingers and badge are too cool. Prayers for your safe travels tonight. Looking forward to seeing Hilton Head. Hugs my friend.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels! Love your book, looks like so much fun.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels, drink lots of coffee, keep the radio on, sing......stop and run around the car lol, thats all I've got. Seriously, be safe!!! Gayle
ReplyDeleteVery cool!
ReplyDeleteP.S. You've got prayers!

Prayer has been said!! Safe travels my friend!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the knee shot...good job...LOL!!!
Phenomenal pages! and knees! lol I must say I am quite envious, and plan to take one of her classes if she gets within a couple of hundred of miles of KY. OR if I see a vaca coming up will have to see where she is at and head in that direction. Prayers for safe travel heading up. We need you back safely so you can tell us how to play with our dylusions :) Travel smart and safe dear one.
ReplyDeleteLovely meeting you today, Jim. The afternoon class was great fun. I can hardly wait to play with my Dylusions. Safe journey and enjoy Savannah!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see and hear the fruits of your time! Your inky fingers are testament to a good time. Safe trip hope and I hope you enjoy the burger.
ReplyDeleteLove the stamped image on you knee! It was great meeting you yesterday, Jim. I look forward to seeing you again when Lady Dyan comes back to the Doodle. Enjoy the rest of your vacay.
ReplyDeleteGood thing you mentioned the knees, because I'd swear that was a BUTT, with a tat!!! BAHAHHAHA!!! You are a riot Jim!!! Have a blast on HH...love that place!!!
ReplyDeleteHA HA HA HA are you sure it is your knee? I could swear it was your butt. Glad you had a good time you will have to do a video to show us what you have done. I think I'm going to have to move to the USA as we don't have classes like that over here.
ReplyDeleteLOL!! the stamp on your leg made me laugh so hard! It could have happened to all of us. I think your should let Mario Rossi see that photo and tell him of the dangers of always wearing shorts, GIGGLE!!
ReplyDeletePeople will just think it's a tatoo...LOL. And probably wonder what the meaning behind it is...LOL. Your time in the classes sounds amazing and so fun! The pages you shared in the photo look awesome! Can't wait to see more and read more about your adventure!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your new tattoo - that's just the sort of thing that I'd do too. At least it was the leaf stamp and nothing too weird! Looks like you had an amazing time in Dyan's class and your journal is wonderful. Wishing you a safe journey.
ReplyDeleteAhhh all became clear about WhimSoDoodle, another shop on my ... to visit wish list. Not tried the stamping in air technique, one to look out for.
