My Home Away From Home!

Hello Everybody!

Today was sllllllooooooowwwww and easy!  Didn't do much at all today, but just take it easy, run to the grocery, went to Tuesday Morning with my friend Marsha, came home took a nap, went for a bike ride to watch the sunset and now I'm crafting.  I think I was still exhausted from the drive yesterday night...or actually this morning's early arrival to Hilton Head and now starting to feel back to normal.

I guess this post is more for my mom than anyone, but what the heck, I thought I share with you all.  Here is the "villa" as they call them on the island... of where I hang out.  My favorite place to stay...The area is right next to the exciting hub of Hilton Head, Harbour Town... Deer Island.  Really fun unit with everything anyone would need, complete with bikes and washing machine and dryer!  Yahooo!

Me relaxing (trying anyway) with a cup of Joe on the deck this morning!

The catwalk from the deck to the villa.

View Of The Marsh

Looking out the bedroom window....

The outside of the Villa...Octagonal Even!  LOL

The Kitchen

See That Small White Table With The Stools?  My Studio Away From Home!  Let's just say the kitchen counter is very handy!  LOL!

The circular stair down to the front door and laundry room...

A smallish place but I just love it!  Nestled amongst the tall wonderful pine trees!  Wish Y'all were here!  Once again!  Let's think Craft Retreat next year...Right?

Well, off to Beaufort, SC  tomorrow to the Carolina Stamper!  If you've been following me for a while you know...THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES TO FIND PAPER SUPPLIES and GOODIES!  YAHOOOOO!  I'll be going with Cesar and Marsha at the crack, so I better get my projects done tonight!  Gotta Run!

Thank you all for joining me on my vacation!  I hope you are enjoying seeing it....I really hope that one day your travel plans include this wonderful lush green place by the Atlantic, Hilton Head...My Home Away From Home....

  3. Jim, I am so enjoying our (I mean) your vacation!! Your villa is Wonderful! Love that it's octagonal and the circular stairway is so cool. It doesn't look like it has many bedrooms to put us all up for the retreat next year though. (Just kidding)I'm leaving tomorrow after work for 3 days of fall camping. It won't be like your getaway, Northern Mi. is pretty chilly now. But we enjoy the fall camping seeing all the beautiful colors. Take time to relax and enjoy yourself!

    1. Hola Shari!

No not too big. 2 bedrooms 2 baths and the main room and kitchen. But perfect. I love to go camping and miss it so much! We camped a lot growing up and I always loved it. My sisters not so much! LOL! But Dad Mom and I loved it! Have a blast that sound like so much fun!

      Hugs to ya!

  5. So glad you are getting "down" time. what a beautiful hideaway you have there. I would be content to just sit and watch the wind blow thru the trees. Don't spend all your money at the Carolina Stamper. BTW - I am in for a craft get away. I so need it!

    1. Kim, I hope you are feeling better. Been thinking about you. Yes, sitting here in the trees with the island breeze is awesome. However, the woodpeckers and squirrels made it a bit of a challenge when I was bombarded with bark pits and pinecones. LOL But I loved it all the same....

      Hugs to ya!

  14. Hilton Head is gorgeous, isn't it? We stay in the villas at Sea Pines every year when we come to watch the Heritage Golf Tournament. It is such a wonderful relaxing time. Of course when we go, it is hot as an oven, but this time of the year it is just soooo nice. Have fun at Carolina Stamper. Again, super jealous!!

  20. Some digs Jim, Wow!!!!! Being a west coast born and raised kinda gal, I haven't explored to much of the eastern sea board. Obviously have been really missing out. Now that I am retired, I should really get out more. Have to think more on that.
