Good Mornin' Y'all!
Here's what's on docket today! Leaving Spanish Fort, Alabama this morning to begin the drive through the WIDE State of Florida! Y'all one of my favorite places to drive through is Florida. Pensacola is where the drive turns into pure visual pine tree pleasure! Yahooo!
Now, I'm covering new territory today. My usual drive takes me to Jacksonville, Florida via I-10. Today, I go off that path around Lake City and head South on I-75 towards Gainesville, Ocala, Spring Hill, Palm Harbor, then over to Tampa and then finally to St. Pete! Google Maps says it about a 529 mile drive which translates to 8 hours and 39 minutes....So, let's say 9 hours...given it's Sunday and hopefully not as much traffic during peak hours. We shall see.

I believe I've figured out how to blog from my phone since the old iPad is being hateful to me! LOL!
See Y'all in a bit! By The Way...Happy Sunday Y'all! Don't forget to find the favorite thing clues along the way...Just sayin'!

Whew...long day in the car! It will all be worth it when you get to class with Dy!!
ReplyDeleteTop o' the mornin' to you, Mr. GC! Hope you are well rested, taken in some nourishment, and ready for the next haul. I myself enjoy traveling by car and we have crossed the country (to L.A. and back to MD) three times! Never a dull moment, that's for sure. Safe journey, my friend....Tampa or bust!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of driving! Have a good trip.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels!
ReplyDeleteOooooo, that's a long way. Safe travels. Thanks for taking us along.
ReplyDeleteI love road trips. I try to do 12 hour days since home is in the North West! But nothing wakes me up more than hills and cliffs of the Rockies! I am totally a mountain person. Like the beach, but for a limited time. How is Mom doing?
ReplyDeleteGlad you got the blogging figured out. I, personally don't own an I-anything!
Hey, I just figured out where you are meeting Dy!!!! I am taking classes with her on Wednesday, are you going to be there on Wednesday? I am so excited to see her and take a class with her. I just can't wait! Drive safe now, hope I get to see you. Jan
ReplyDeleteI'm just loving your daily trip updates. That is a long road trip. I actually just did the same drive from Texas to Pensacola back in March and you are right about the scenery up in the FL panhandle. It is beautiful! I'm originally from Sarasota just a little bit south from Tampa /St. Pete. Enjoy the beautiful white sandy beaches! But, I agree with Peanut..I'm more of a mountain/forest kinda girl.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for including us on your journey!
