The Guts of The Silver Skull Crypt! DONE!

Howdy All!

Well, I thought I better get out and do some walking.  I finished matting the inside if the Silver Skull Crypt.  So, a walk I took...on the beach. To me, my favorite time to walk on the beach is at dusk. It just so beautiful!  The sunset was just glorious! So please allow me to share some last beach shots before I go to the crypt....

Tons Of Bikes At South Beach!

South Beach!

If you want The Best Hamburger and Grits...Don't miss The Salty Dog on South Beach!  Amazingly Good!

Watching the waves come in and wash away the footprints, sand castles and shells, cleaning the beach for the next day, made me think how cool our lives are. We go to sleep and wash away the fatigue.and problems to wake up to a new fresh day. Relaxed and ready to go. I am so thankful for the opportunity to come back to this wonderful Island and will always remember the wonderful memories made.

Thanks for baring with me on my photo tour of the beach!  LOL!

OK, now on to the Guts Of The Silver Skull Crypt.....

The cat feet slide under the crypt when open.

Well, That's All Folks!  Hope you liked the inside of the Silver Skull Crypt!

Tomorrow, I start out on the first leg of the journey back home.  I will be taking the northern route this time to see some mountains action...Tomorrow night, historic Vicksburg, Mississippi....

See ya on the road!  Have an awesome night Y'all!

  5. Amazing Cyrpt!!!!!! Is our vacation at HH up already???? I will miss it. Never been to Mississippi, so I quess this is a new journey for me. Hubby's BD is Wednesday and I haven't even made him his card yet. Guess I better get going on that. Still need to make him a cake and wrap his gift. He is hitting the big 65. I think he is a little depressed. Really doesn't want to do any celibrating this year. The kids are taking us on a family mini vacation (Disneyland) thru Halloween to kind of cheer us up. It will be the first time the twins have been there and I know we are all going to have a great time.
    Until tomorrow,
    Marcie

  13. Those are the best guts I have ever seen. I love your description of the beach. For some reason those words made me feel calm and serene after a fairly hectic and drama filled weekend. Have a good trip back. My friend and I stopped at some of those plantations in Mississippi coming home from a trip. The history in them is amazing. One house we visited served as a way station to move out Union prisoners and also american indians. The house was lived in from the civil war to now. At one point in time a live cannon ball was found in the wall under the stairs and could have blown up at any time! Imagine living in that house with kids running up and down the stairs! I love touring places like this! Got my favorites list waiting to come to you on Tuesday.

  24. LOVE the supply list Jim! What a fantastic gift! You have such a great mind for art -- and I too love the beach at sunset - or sunrise -- sunrise because the sun comes up over the sea - sunset in Cali because it sets over the sea - never saw that until my daughter went to school out there! My beach of choice is the Outer Banks, NC.

  27. I love your tranqil thoughts about the cleansing of the beach ready for the next day. You put it so well. Your photos were lovely and serene too - it looks like this break is doing you the world of good and is just what you needed.
As for the Crypt - well what can I say? You have excelled yourself yet again! We are not very big on Halloween over here in the UK, but I can see many useful applications for that style of "album in a box" - thank you for the inspiration! Wishing you a safe and uneventful journey home - please blog some more photos on your way.

  28. WOW!!! I miss the beach so much! We moved to Kansas from Corpus Christie a few years ago, and the beach is the only thing I really miss. Thanks for sharing all the great photos!

Now about that crypt. What an amazing exploding box! Your materials are absolutely lovely! Your design is outstanding and your execution is exceptional! I never would have thought of putting a gatefold inside of a box this way. Thanks! I am soooo gonna steal this concept!

I will be thinking of you and praying for your safety as you return home. Tell your Mamma hello from Kansas!

  29. Love your pictures of the beaches - sigh...
The Skull crypt looks divine! You are so talented Mr. Jim. And all this while traveling! You showed pictures of your villa's kitchen - if I had made (or tried to make) a fraction - just one page - of the crypt - the whole kitchen would look like a bomb had hit it - instead of a few bits and pieces here and there!
Wonderful - can't wait for more travel blog, and the finished crypt!
    Hugs Julie

  31. What gorgeous shots of the beach, We have spent a couple of glorious nights in the camper on the beach at Cobden (West coast, South Island, New Zealand) And there is nothing more spectacular than the sunset over the sea. Love that album too! Cheers

  32. Jim, you are such a tease! The blog title leads me to believe I am going to see the inside of your creation, and low and behold I have to "slowly" wade through several gorgeous scenery pics first. THEN... we find out the secret of the little cat feet, and just like magic, the cat feet disappear and magically make the INSIDE of your crypt EXPLODE!! I want a set of cat feet like that for my next box, where can WE get them??!! Truly, you are so gifted. I am always amazed at what you come up with.

  33. What do you eat that feeds this creativity? Is there any special hair tonic that helps the brain to dream things up? Does Leonardo da Vinci visit you in your dreams??? Man oh man, this is the coolest contraption ever!!! The way it folds together, the way it unfolds together, just freaking BRILLIANT!!! Can you say patent? A M A Z I N G !!!! Everything you create is amazing, and you do it so quickly! I could go on and on! I'd just love to be a cell with a dictaphone roving around the corners of your mind!!! And, I haven't even mentioned the outside of this...craftgasmic!!!!
