ReplyDeleteFabscraps is a South African Company, I am glad to see you liked their stuff. Thanks for all the photos. Much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThat first scrapbooking page that you said caught your eye but you didn't know who did it(the one with the folded book pages).......it's by "Anna Dabrowska" from Poland. She also goes by "Finnabar". She's an incredible artist and she has her first collection with Prima for this past CHA show. Check out her blog if you get the chance, there is a ton of inspiration there in my humble opinion. (http://tworzysko.blogspot.com) Loved all the pics you took, almost makes me feel like I'm there.
ReplyDeleteOh I so wish I could of fitted in your suit case. Looks like you have had a fab time. Thanks for making we drool all over my key board. Awesome sample of the up and coming.. xox
ReplyDeleteHaven't you had lots of fun ????? Thanks for sharing, can't wait til we can see it in real life !!
ReplyDeleteShannon beat me to the news about Anna. I saw this project in late December, either on her blog or someone else's, and it blew me away! Love the "tour" of CHA!

ReplyDeleteI'm finally ahead of the trend - all of my Prima flowers are stored by color in Mason jars. LOL. Love that art piece with the folded book - got to case that one. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteNice! I'm thinking we may be seeing a project with Engravers. Just saying. Have a great trip to market.

ReplyDeleteGreat recap, Jim. Even tho I was there, I loved seeing the highlights through your eyes. Just one question, tho: Did you like Prima's Engraver's collection? :-D
ReplyDeleteI guess you liked Engravers then?! I'm curious to know what the difference is between the old and new version of the Cropodile? Have a good trip to market - looking forward to those inspirational posts too.

Thanks for sharing! I am drooling over a lot of this. THe papers have me wanting them now. The pieces people created were awesome.
ReplyDeleteGreat job Jim! Thanks for all the great shots and updates! F.Y.I. the altered book (with the bird) is actually by Janine Koczwara (http://www.janinekoczwara.typepad.com/) not Anna (aka Finnabair), they have similar styles, but different of course. I love that you post from all over so we can all live vicariously through you - just as if we too were there! Keep it up!
ReplyDeletesorry for the double post Jim - forgot to mention the Kaisercraft you liked was 'Basecoat'! Great name isn't it?! I want I want I want...it all!
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Jim! Thanks for the recap. I want absolutely everything. Not kidding.
ReplyDeleteGreat recap! That boys peeing off the pier paper....I just used that same paper (or maybe several lines have that image) this summer to make a beach journal. My niece picked it out and when we got home we realized what those boys were doing! brahahaaaaa
ReplyDeletewow - great pics and thanks for sharing a variety! You've shown quite a bit that I had not seen yet. I know what you mean about wanting so much if not all...LOL... I've already placed some orders for the new stuff from several places and I havent even made a dent yet in my list. I think this show was one of the best in several years... I wasnt there, but the new products are just amazing this time.
ReplyDeleteOH! so what is this "market" you keep referring to and going to this weekend?
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful things ! Prima, Kaisercraft, Finnabair...I looooove these. Thank you to share with us your CHA !
ReplyDeletehahahaa.... I been thinking the same :P I need to sell the house !! All CHA Releases are awesome but the best is to come.. I can't wait to see all the designers ideas to come that's going to be the best! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteI love seeing what caught your eye because you're used to quickly picking out the best like you're doing today at Market. Boy, you're getting all the new stuff one after the other. Good thing all these new goodies aren't instantly available. We can all take on a few odd jobs to fund - well - possibly the entire Engraver's collection. Have a great Market.
