Dylusions Panel Tag...

Good Morning...Good Morning!

It's a rainy morning in Texas!  We sure need the rain, so it's good to see it.  If you have dogs you will know exactly what I'm about to say....The Girls (dogs) were running full blast to the door as I let them out this morning.  You should have seen them throw on the emergency brakes when the door finally opened and they saw the rain!  Oh no you couldn't get my girls to go out if you offered them a piece of meat!   So here I am in my morning hair (scary folks!  Scary!) robe, flip-flops and umbrella standing in the mud waiting for my precious pooches to do their business!  Ellie literally standing on my feet looking up at me and Sally trying to find that perfect spot....Good Lawd!  Enough about that!

The lack of coffee in my system literally had me crawling the walls.  And yes, you are all right, I had a serious caffeine withdrawal headache all day long!  No more of that craziness!  Maybe a small cup this morning....I drink my coffee black so maybe it wouldn't be too bad...just one cup!  Last night I was totally in need of some creative escape from the coffee craziness and again I worked on a tag.

I just had a hankering to get out the Dylusions sprays and stamps and just literally play.  I was not really putting any thought into the project and didn't do any special techniques, but wanted to share how to add panel doors to your tag for something different..So here we go....

Well, better get to work y'all!  Have an awesome day and thanks tons for coming by!

  1. Good Morning Jim! I just love it when you turn that camera on and just let yourself go! It is so fun to watch and listen. I do understand the withdrawal feelings of no coffee. I am here to tell you that you can survive with out it! I gave up coffee in '92 and never looked back, I may have smelled back on several occasions, but never gave in to temptations.
    Good Luck to you!!!!

  3. Welcome back to play land. I must admit to a quick intake of breath when I saw the long white sleeves while you were using Dylusions. I'm a believer of everything (or at least most things) in moderation so I'm sure just one or two cups of coffee a day would be fine as long as you can stop yourself to that. I would hate to give up my cups of tea!!!

  4. Jim.....you can have a cup or two of coffee a day since you drink it black. There is zero calories and fat in coffee...it's the cream and sugar that makes coffee bad. Have your morning cup 'o joe and spare yourself the torture. Just be sure to keep up the H2O intake throughtout the rest of the day.

  5. Jim,
I just rescued a little Shih Tzu and last night he did the same thing. Stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the rain-lol. Thanks for the door tutorial, loved it. Good luck with your "diet".

  6. Love your art work. Why give up the caffeine completely? Don't think I could ever do that as I do not want the headache. Besides coffee is good for you. Lol. Thanks for posting.

  7. Okay, I missed something...why do you have to give up coffee? I know you drink copious cups each day but couldn't you just scale back? Giving up coffee and attempting to eat healthily (notice I didn't day diet) would be my worst nightmare. Do I sound like an enabler? I know you will figure this all out and I certainly admire you for trying but don't beat yourself up if you don't fully succeed. Love your tags and am anxiously awaiting to see CHA projects.

  9. Yay for the rain! My guys did the same thing. They refuse to go out back, but it "never rains in the front yard" and I can get them to go out there under the eaves. Can't wait to play with my Dylusions, but waiting for MIL to go home so I can have my craft room back! In the mean time I will keep stalking, er, I mean inspecting your videos and blog.

BTW - if you aren't a cook, where did you get your chicken fried steak and gravy. LOL

  11. Good Morning Jim! Thanks so much for bringing us along as you played. I wish you would do that more often, I really learn alot watching you. You are a genius, why didn't I think of hinging doors on a tag? I love it, I will have to make one tonight. You are a brave man to work with the sprays in a long sleeve white shirt, when I craft I usually end up wearing some of the products, so I usually wear something old. Good Luck with the dieting. Thanks again!

  13. That was fun! Is that a PINK teflon sheet? Way prettier that the regular brown. I hope you gave yourself a little coffee today. You don't have to do this all at once - gently gently.

  18. Jim, are you sure it was 2 pounds. You already look much slimmer.
Had the same dog story here in the Seattle rain this AM. My dog is a 100 pound lab however and he should be used to the rain here. However, until I come all the way out with him and get equally wet there's no action. Told him, all he needs to do is learn how to use the toilet.
So fun to see your video. Very relaxing and funny and the tag is awesome too. Very kind of you to share your downtime.

  19. Thanks for having me at your place! I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out crafting with you! Wish it was in person :) This tag/card is gonna be a favourite!

I like that you are being aware of what you eat/drink... but not sure why you can't have one or two coffees a day? I drink it black also , and make sure I sit and enjoy that first ( and mostly only) cup of the day!

  20. Fun card!!! Love how you used the tags to make the doors. And...I never thought to spray both side...DUH...LOL!!! Thanks for making the video tutorial...always love them!

I'm so glad we got all the rain...we needed it BAD!! Loved the story about the dogs...I remember when my guys used to do the same thing.

  23. Jim, your face looks thinner already. Don't say diet. It's a new way of eating healthy that you want. And have your coffee. Unless of course you are getting heart palpitations. Then you need to cut back. But don't torture yourself. Love the video and never thought of hinging doors on a tag of all things. I'm gonna try it and wish you well on your healthy eating journey. Hugs Karen

  27. Just lovely, thanks for the tutorial, I'm waiting for my craft mat to arrive and will be as inky as I like, but I think I will have to use rubber gloves as the inks do stain, but they are so striking and beautiful, keep up the good work, regards from australia

  31. I'll be back to watch the rest of your tag video. Question: I saw a quick shot of an organizer with your stamps (?) or stencils (?). What is it and where did you get it. Looks like it held a lot of material. Always looking for organizing so much of my things that are in drawers and not very accessible. Thanks in advance.
