Final Notes On Scrapbook Expo

Good Evening Everybody!

Just some final thoughts before I lay my weary head down on my pillow tonight!  I had the time of my life with everybody at The Crafty Scrapper!  Carolyn Ross and her husband are the most incredible people!  When I met Carolyn, I knew immediately that this was my long lost sister.  She has this amazing positive spirit that is totally infectious!  I just had a ball!  Thank you!

You know...I met these two ladies yesterday and swore that I included them in my blog post!  I mean I cannot believe that I didn't!  When I saw them today, I told them that they should check out my blog as I had them on it....They weren't!  OMGosh!  I'm so sorry!  I really wasn't lying, I just don't have very good recall!  When I checked tonight and went through my pictures... I knew exactly why I had skipped the pic!  Purely vain of course!  LOL!  It showed too much of my bald spot!  LOL!  So to fess up...be honest and eat my own Top Hat....Here you go! HAHAHA!

Now, for some more pictures of some dear online friends....

Granny Gee and Katie

Jill and LSUMom!

The hands!  Oh The Inky Hands!  Proud of 'em too!.....

Then there was the shopping!  Here's My Haul Video!  LOL!

Then there was time for rest!  AHHHHH!  Glad to be home!

Have an Awesome Night Y'all.  Thanks For Coming By!

  1. I can see why your all tuckered out, all the shopping alone is enough to wear you out. It looks like you did some pretty good damage to your ole credit card. But, you sure got some good stuff! I think it's great that you get to meet alot of your on-line friends and fans. I would love to meet you and hopefully someday I will.
I just posted my skewer mini on my blog if you'd care to check it out. Thanks so much for the easy tutorial, I loved making it!
Hopefully I'll catch you tomorrow, rest up.

  3. Great Hall! No, your Amex isn't hurting too bad. Just let it rest a while and I'm sure it will be fine. I put mine on the night stand so it can watch TV with me. I know it likes it there because of the way it sighs after we come home from Pensacola. :D

    And Digging those Shoes!!!!

  9. Wonderful stuff!! Do you ever use the same tool twice?? You must show us how to store/organize, you'll be growing out of your studio. Can't wait to see what you do with these items.

  11. You sure picked out some fun new toys. You will LOVE that VerDay paint. It is awesome stuff. Check your word stencils from Wendi's collection as there are two sets and you wouldn't want to live without one.
Hope to play with my new stencils and embossing paste today. Thanks for "twisting" my arm to buy them!!

  12. WOW that's a big haul!!! Thanks for the show'n'tell. When there's a chance to go to the states, I'm so excited b/c I can buy stuff that I just simply can't get here. Online shopping is great, but sometimes you actually want to see the product and check it out.
I had some thoughts going through my head when you were showing the stencils and stamps... some of the designs might come in handy for a future painting series I have. Glad you had fun and looking forward to what creations are made!
PS: Someone mentioned Blicks...the bestest store and the closest one to me is Seattle, 3-4hrs away :(

  13. You know the stenciling and embossing paste was all the rage several years ago, and I really loved it then. Can't wait to try Wendy's. Fun stuff and so much you can do with it. Will you streaming Sunday, or are you resting up. I know what I would be doing if I had that choice. LOL.

  15. Head to toe loveliness! (Stop worrying about your tiny bald spot - we love you for who you are, not your hair)! I'm loving your Texan shoes too!

Looks like you had so much fun at Expo - worth feeling tired for! You got an amazing haul too - can't wait to see what you do with all those stencils. The crackle one looks brilliant!

  16. I wish I had been there in such a Mekka ;)I'm addicted to stencils too, and now where a Gelli Plate has arrived it dosent get any better.. LOL
I would like to know if you have an idea to store them, so it's easy to overlook the collection :)

  17. looks like you had a great time! And was there anything left in the store when you left???? I love the stencils and background stamps-- they are me new addiction!!! Thanks for sharing

  18. Well, I am glad to see that someone else is accidentally buying duplicates! But I understand that we do it because we love something sooooo much! I understand totally about Stencil Mania--it is something they put into the plastic, I think, like that stuff in McDonald's fries that makes you want to buy! LOL! And you will LOVE that 10-second Studio stuff! It's addictive, too! And you can stamp with it--with rubber stamps, like Tim's, too (just clean 'em right away) And it is awesome on Grunge paper! My, how I do go on! Thank you for sharing--can't wait to see what you do with all those goodies!

  19. OMG, you bought more stuff than I have bought in a lifetime! I'm kind of new here, but it seems you have a thing for nuts and bolts and gears and things so I'm passing this along just in case you didn't know. Anna Dabrowska aka Finnabair designed some of the embellishments you bought from Prima. Here's a link to her blog http://tworzysko.blogspot.com/ I became aware of her artwork when she was published on Somerset Studio's cover for the Nov/Dec 2012 issue. I highly recommend watching a video where she describes the parts and pieces she used in one of her pieces, you can watch it here: http://youtu.be/Ca9CUbyN5Vk

  21. Thanks so much for showing us all your goodies and telling us about your trip! I have a quick question. . . I am DYING to get my hands on Dyan's beautiful new stamps, but do you need a special block to stamp them cause of their size? If so, did you get one where you got the stamps? Just wondering. . . Thanks for answering, in advance.

Rest up and so happy to see you back home.

    Hugs,
    Maureen

  22. FANTASTIC HAUL Jim!! I know that all the people who saw your demos not only came away learning something new I will bet my last dollar that everyone had a great time I know I do when I attend the Expo in Sacramento, CA. I can't wait to see some of your creations with these new goodies :-)

  23. Bahahahaha!!! Still laughing...you know why!!! Love all that loot!!! I think I mine came pretty close to yours as well, but you found some prize winners! Next time you must shop with me and show me what to buy!

  25. Such cool stuff. Love the stencils and am jealous of hell that you have the embossing paste! I spent some time this weekend looking for some to no avail. I am so annoyed that nobody down here carries the Dylusions stamps/stencils. I so want to get the fishy stamps! Wish I could have gone shopping. Hope your AMEX card isn't too damaged! Can't wait to see what you do with it all.

  26. And I thought that I dropped some $$ this weekend on supplies! We both purchased similar items. Great minds or crafting mind control?? ROFL. Jim, I tell ya, it's a sickness and the only thing that eases the symptoms is more goodies!!

  27. Holy Cow! That's quite a haul! Um you think you could adopt me? I could use your overflow! lol I haven't shopped except for adhesives for over a year. I am not a happy camper! lol I sure hope this economy rolls around to good for us. But I have no expectations that it will. Glad you had a wonderful time, and got some really cool stuff. Looking forward to seeing how you use everything. Oh and the bald spot...be proud, some people have more skin than hair on their heads. One question, who makes the little stamps with the penny farthing and the one with the little man? Thanks for sharing your wonderful goodies with us. Hugs, Jess

  31. Hat Rack!! LOL It's called a hat rack! You will love LOVE love the TenSeconds Studios Verday!! I've been using it since it first came out a couple years ago. You can get some really neat and cool effects. If you love embossing paste, you need to check out Dreamweaver Stencils and their 'stuff'... they have additional colors and the pastes are top notch! Your haul looks fun and you got some great stuff kiddo!! You're as bad as me... I just-can-not-resist-all-the-new-stuff!! I also bought the same stencils you bought... so fun! Love the journal page in your top 2 photos!

  32. If you send me those photos of you w/o your hat...I can photoshop them a bit for you..... giggle

  33. Wow... what a haul!! Jim, if you're hooked on stnecil paste you really need to try Dreamweaver embossing paste, as it comes in many colors. My favorite is the translucent! This stuff was designed to use with their brass stencils, but I have used it with Prima, TCW and other companies' stencils as well. Go here to check it out: http://dreamweaverstencils.com/paste.html

I'll be on the lookout for those new stencils and that stencil paste!!
